For anyone who was even remotely invested in my calendar challenges of last week, I managed solve it all by myself on Saturday afternoon; a tiny tickbox in a random settings area that I most definitely had not 'unticked' as I didn't even know it was there... But anyway, very pleased I saved myself the costs of a remote session with an IT technician and possible permanent ban from the Microsoft Support team for repeatedly telling them to STOP RECOMMENDING STUFF I'VE ALREADY DONE...(breathe Jenna, let it go) So, on to the good stuff! It's been another great week for the Ambition PR team. Packed with exciting new book launches, insightful thought-leadership content and a new health and wellbeing incentive for the team, here's what's made our top ten this week! ▶ Joyned was included in the AITech35 list prepared by TechRound, celebrating companies at the forefront of #AI advancement ▶Kris Flegg featured in Training Journal explaining the importance of assuming that your audience doesn’t care ▶Evolve: A New Era of Leadership podcast invited Vicky Smith of WorkingWell to record an episode ▶Phil Morse's book ‘Rock the Dance Floor’ (2nd Edition, Rethink Press) launched. He was also featured on The Travel DJ Blend Podcast exploring the evolving world of DJing and the Music Explored podcast discussing his five step formula for DJ success. ▶Jeremy 💫 Blain’s book Unleash the Inner CEO was reviewed by theHRDIRECTOR ▶David Roche featured in CEO Magazine discussing successfully navigating external dynamics as a first time CEO ▶We scheduled in a kick off call with Prof. Paul Lee🧬 ahead of his exciting new book campaign for “Regeneration by Design” (Rethink Press) ▶Sharath Jeevan OBE was featured in Schools Week discussing how to lead through inflection moments ▶Louis Carbonnier, co-founder and President of Hokodo featured in Digitalisation World discussing everything that’s wrong with B2B #ecommerce checkouts, and how to fix it ▶We finalised our exciting new corporate membership with The Gym Group. From next month, all Ambition PR employees will have access to free gym membership to help support their health and wellbeing. Thanks Chad Smith for your help! I’m not in denial it’s already December, you are! But seriously, where did the year go? 📅📅📅 Each year we look back on what we’ve done, and since I’m planning our social calendars through to end of year, I thought I’d share a few highlights from our Media Mortar calendar. ✔️ Welcoming old clients back to the #MediaMortar family after some time apart thanks to a little thing called COVID, you might have heard of it? ✔️ Getting into business development in a big way, with new templates and rigour with thanks to Liz Ballantyne for driving ✔️ Speaking! So much speaking – LGAQ, LGNSW Visitor Economy Conference, SATIC, WATC and ARTN to name just a few ✔️ Celebrating some incredible work-i-versaries – Elise Hanslip , Liz Ballantyne and Luke Crowley here’s looking at you ✔️ Bolstering our team with more design capability so we can offer a better end-to-end content experience for clients ✔️ Adding an unfriendly but cute office dog (pictured) to the Content Crew ✔️ Travel – we’ve been everywhere man, and we still have 5 more trips in the next 3 business weeks to do ✔️ Partnering with Apollo Motorhome Holidays for some rad trips around Queensland to bring the joy of motor homing to small screens near you ✔️ Investing in PD, working with Lauren Faulkner to develop more templates to make us run faster than a bullet train in Tokyo ✔️ Collaborative projects with some of the best in the business, so that we can combine our expertise with theirs, and everyone stays in their zone of genius to achieve incredible results While the year might be coming to a close, we’re far from finished our project delivery. It’s energising. It’s exciting. And we’re so thankful to all our clients who allow us to make content magic every day. #ContentMarketing #SmallBusiness #2024InReview #2024 #MediaMortar

Here's my 2024 LinkedIn Rewind, by Coauthor: London made me realize something this year - sometimes the best innovations aren't the flashiest. Every bar, restaurant, and store running seamlessly on Apple Pay showed me that simple solutions, done brilliantly, transform entire systems. That insight shaped my entire 2024 evolution from packet-reading nerd to published author (still can't believe I wrote a f*cking book!) Some surprisingly cool stuff happened this year: • Published "The Ultimate Zoom Cookbook" (I'm never writing another book again!) • Created a LinkedIn Learning course on Zoom Webinars (Now that I'd do again - great team!) • Built my dream home studio setup (Sorry honey, the basement is mine now) • Expanded beyond just Zoom content to broader UCaaS and workplace topics • Finally figured out how to actually unplug on vacation (sort of) Three posts that really connected with you all: "London's Payment Revolution" Simple innovations done well can transform entire cities and systems https://lnkd.in/e_vmk6U6 "Work-Life Balance Reality Check" Being honest about struggling to unplug and find balance https://lnkd.in/eRfDwXXg "The Zoom Journey" Using every skill I've accumulated to make an impact https://lnkd.in/e_c3BypT I've never created content just to grow followers. Every video, every post has been about teaching something I thought was cool or important. This year taught me that sometimes the most impactful lessons aren't about features or settings - they're about making technology work better for real people. Looking ahead to 2025: I'm diving deeper into how AI is reshaping workplace collaboration. And yes, still hunting for the world's best donuts along the way. PS... What's the coolest simple innovation you've seen this year? Drop it in the comments! #TattooedNerd #UCaaS #2024wrapped -- Get your 2024 LinkedIn Rewind! Go to coauthor [dot] studio in your browser

Making 2025 the Year of Real Conversations: A Call for Meaningful Connection As I reflect on 2024, one thing stands out: amid the AI revolution, workplace transformations, and geopolitical shifts, our greatest insights often came from human connections. While ChatGPT churned out code and Anthropic's Claude crafted strategies, the real breakthroughs happened in Zoom rooms and Slack channels where curious minds gathered. The past year brought unprecedented challenges. We grappled with hybrid work policies, questioned traditional performance metrics, and watched global events reshape our talent pools. Through it all, I noticed something crucial: those navigating these changes most successfully weren't just consuming content – they were actively engaging in discussions. The Power of Community Learning Reading articles and attending webinars serves a purpose, but they're one-directional. Real learning happens in the spaces between formal knowledge – in the questions asked, the experiences shared, and the solutions co-created. As one colleague noted, "An hour of dialogue often teaches more than a week of research." Here's my vision for the upcoming year: 1. Community Building - Join and actively participate in 2-3 professional communities - Contribute meaningfully to ongoing discussions - Connect members across communities for richer dialogue 2. Knowledge Sharing - Add to my monthly newsletter highlighting key discussions - Create space for peer-to-peer learning sessions - Document and share case studies from community insights I'm asking for your help in three specific ways: 1. Share Your Spaces - Where do you find valuable professional discussions? - Which online communities consistently provide meaningful insights? - What local groups should others know about? 2. Bring Your Questions - What challenges are you facing that could benefit from collective wisdom? - Which trends do you want to explore more deeply? - What expertise can you share with others? 3. Commit to Engagement - Share your learnings back with your networks - Connect others who could benefit from specific conversations Your turn. Drop a comment with: 1. Your favorite professional community 2. One burning question you'd love to explore with peers 3. Your commitment to engagement in 2025 Let's make 2025 the year we transform from content consumers to conversation creators. Here's a link to my schedule, let's grab our coffee and pick a topic to learn about and build meaningful connections today: https://zurl.co/ZBoG4 #CommunityLearning #ProfessionalGrowth #FutureOfWork #CollectiveLearning

It’s my first week back to work in 2025, and I thought it’d be a great time to reflect on and share highlights of my professional journey in 2024: 📌 Organized two major virtual events for Financial Cents - the Workflow Summit in July, which attracted over 570 attendees, and our flagship annual conference, #WorkflowCon, which brought together 1,500+ participants and featured 20+ sessions and speakers. Also, managed 20+ webinars and event series which saw hundreds of people in attendance. 📌 Launched the "Get Work Done" newsletter for Financial Cents (which I genuinely love writing), achieving a 45% average open rate and a 5% click-through rate. 📌 Financial Cents released a music video (if you haven’t seen it yet, go check it out on YouTube right now!)—and I had the thrill of helping get it featured on one of the screens in New York’s Times Square. 📌 Connected with my colleagues in person at our first company offsite retreat in Spain and our end-of-year retreat in Galveston, Texas. 📌 Featured as a guest on four podcasts and two publications, discussing a variety of topics, including my journey as an immigrant, landing a job I love, and building my career, as well as insights on virtual events, brand marketing, and content marketing. 📌 Started Virtual Events Lab, which gave me the honor of connecting with amazing people in the industry. Unfortunately, life "life-ed" and I wasn't able to continue. Fingers crossed, I'll resume this year. 📌 Battled impostor syndrome from time to time but always got back up after some self-reflection and prayer. 📌 Traveled to 15 countries and 20+ cities while working, thanks to a fully remote job with flexible hours. 📌 Ended the year with an adventurous road trip, thanks to Financial Cents' bucket list fund. As I reflect on this, I’m filled with gratitude for the opportunities I’ve been given and the privilege of working for an amazing company like Financial Cents. Here’s to an incredible 2025!

2024 was an interesting year, and although I do my wrap-up on Pinch Studios birthday (Jan 30th!) I'd love to share just some things I learned that I'm taking into 2025. 🙌 If you want something to grow, focus on it. When it came to my marketing, and my own campaigns I would have tunnel vision on the outcome and the message I wanted my ideal clients to relate too. This is why my Instagram will now be focussing on my VIP Day offer and my LinkedIn is where you'll find my marketing subscription packages. 🙌 My brain LOVES deep work, strategy, and big projects. The nitty gritty work, finicky tasks, and switching from one thing to another...is not my jam. Just because we can do things well doesn't mean we are meant to do them. 2025- I'm welcoming a couple of key team members so that I can step into a role in which I can make the most impact. 🙌 Hand on heart, I love working from home...but I am not productive at home. Put me in a cafe or a coworking space and I can hyperfocus like no other. This is the year of putting my focus in the right areas at the right time and to make the leaps I want to make, I'll be investing in a space to work in. 🙌 Your body will make you rest if you do not do it yourself. I'm endeavouring to have a semblance of a weekend this year...wish me luck...and if you have any tips, let me know 😂 🙌 There is no shame in asking, following up, in pitching to those who you believe you are super aligned with, to go after the jobs and collaborate on the projects that make your soul dance. 2024 was the year of gaining so much confidence in what I do, the results I can make for my clients, and the types of clients I really want to spend my time on. 2024 was honestly about listening to what felt right and doubling down on that. Now that I have done that, I'm stoked to see what a whole year of working in alignment really feels like. What was your key learning from last year? And what are you bringing into this year? #growthstrategy #marketingcampaign #brandcampaign #marketingconsultant #marketingstrategies #marketingteam #professionalmarketing #marketingforsmallbusiness #purposeled #brandmessaging #salesstrategy
