Wood windows and doors are beautiful features of your home, but they require regular servicing to ensure they operate efficiently. Here’s why you should prioritize opening and maintaining them: 1. Prevent Sticking and Swelling Wood can expand and contract with temperature changes. Regularly opening your windows and doors helps prevent them from sticking or swelling, ensuring smooth operation. 2. Maintaining Energy Efficiency Properly functioning windows and doors are crucial for energy efficiency. Misalignment can create drafts, leading to higher energy costs. Servicing ensures they seal correctly, keeping your home comfortable. 3. Extending Lifespan Routine maintenance can extend the life of your wooden fixtures. Early detection of issues like rot can prevent costly repairs or replacements. 4. Enhancing Security Windows and doors are key entry points to your home. Regular servicing keeps locks and hinges in good condition, enhancing your home’s security. We specialize in servicing wood windows and doors across the country. Our experienced technicians are ready to help you maintain their beauty and functionality. Don’t wait for small issues to become big problems.

right on the money Jenny - the acetylated wood products like Accoya are worth looking at for some wood window and door applications - there are significant benefits in stability, moisture content, finish adhesion and overall longevity. Acetylated wood shouldn't be limited to decking and siding specs.
