March was a productive month, fostering professional growth, championing women's empowerment, and expanding my network. Investing in Women: The month kicked off powerfully with a training session for UN Women UK delegates, followed by two impactful weeks of discussions on critical women's issues. Leveraging connections made on LinkedIn, I engaged with inspiring women, delving deep into women's poverty and strategies to break the cycle. Building Connections: I actively participated in B2B speed networking at the Chiswick Business Network and the Business Innovation Expo, making valuable connections with diverse professionals across industries. The inspiring Women Entrepreneurs Summit facilitated expertly by Vanessa Dal Busco and Women Founder for Growth event reaffirmed the importance of showcasing women's leadership and progress. Showcasing Bukmos: I had the opportunity to present my business model at CIMA MiP Marketing Monday in March. Expanding My Skillset: I attended informative events like the Digital Skills Accelerator program, enhancing my knowledge of digital security and efficiency. Celebrating International Women's Day: I joined the inspiring ARKK's annual IWD lunch, further celebrating women's achievements. Many thanks to Danielle Cyrus. Engaging with Leaders: Expanding my network further, I connected and engaged with C-suite professionals at the Ownet networking dinner. Thanks Zia Rezvi for the invitation. Beyond the Events: Throughout March, I balanced these events with delivering work goals, meeting new clients, attending informative webinars, and diligently pursuing my training program on 'Managing Corporate Sustainability'. Encouraged by March's wins, I welcome April as a month of focused engagement and increased visibility for Bukmos Services. We've already hit the ground running today with a prospect meeting today in London. This month, we're blooming into full force by focusing on our sales and marketing strategies. Stay tuned for exciting updates! #InvestInWomen #WomenEmpowerment #GenderEquality #UNWomenUK #WomenInBusiness #Networking #Entrepreneurship #AccountingServices #AccountingForGrowth #SmallBusinessAccounting #IWD #WomenLeaders #CIMA #ACMA #SmallBusinessFinance #Accountingtips

There's a lot of noise around increasing funding for women-led businesses, especially after the recent revelation about Innovate UK sitting on £2m of wasted funds in a failed grant award. While the call for more funding is important, let's take a step back and consider other impactful ways to support female entrepreneurs: 1️⃣ 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 & 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴: Connect female founders with experienced mentors and networks. Access to the right people often opens doors to opportunities that money alone can't buy. 2️⃣ 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆: Proactively seek out and support women-owned businesses in your supply chain. This not only diversifies your vendor pool but also drives significant growth for female-led companies. 3️⃣ 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Invest in the continuous professional development of women in your team. Encourage and fund their participation in leadership programmes, workshops, and conferences to build the skills they need to succeed. Speaking of conferences, Women's Business Club is hosting its annual conference and awards this October. Why not send your female staff? This is a brilliant opportunity to support their growth, invest in your team, and back a female-led organisation. It’s a win-win! Being a woman entrepreneur comes with its unique challenges. "As women leaders, we often face moments of doubt whether it’s leaving a sick child at home or attending to the demanding needs of a growing business. " Priti Rathi Gupta, Founder of LXME (Our portfolio company) exemplifies the art of balancing the complexities of entrepreneurship and motherhood. She tells us that perfection is a myth, but balance is achievable. Her vision for LXME proves that when women lead with resilience, they create impactful change. Her advice to women entrepreneurs? Focus on your belief in your purpose, and don’t shy away from building a support system that empowers you to lead. Let her story inspire you to move forward, even when the scales feel uneven. #CXXO #CXXOportfolio #WomenInLeadership

Fiona Hathorn, chief executive of Women on Boards, advisory panel member for the Financial Reporting Council, advisor to Peel Hunt, discusses the pathways for women to reach board level in hospitality. Quick quotes: "Be your own mentor, constant learning and a strong sense of self and influence... research says that key skills are results-orientated, for example the need to understand a P&L balance sheet, the ability to lead strategically, lead inclusively and understand a changing environment... A leader helps people align their personal purpose and goals with those of the organisation." 👉 Read the programme for Propel's Multi Club conference – Female Leaders and Entrepreneurs, here: https://lnkd.in/er7sJ342

We are honored to be named one of The Daily Record's Best Women-Owned Businesses in Maryland! This recognition highlights our dedication to innovation and excellence, and we’re proud to be among such a distinguished group of women-led companies. Our founder and CEO, Kristen Valdes, shared her insights on the challenges women entrepreneurs face in raising capital: “In raising capital, I’ve observed that women are often questioned on risks, while men are asked about opportunities. To counter this bias, I address potential risks upfront, demonstrating my conservative approach, then pivot to emphasize my proactive, strategic vision. This shows that I’m not only prepared for ‘what if’ scenarios but also focused on growth and innovation, positioning me as a forward-thinking leader ready to capitalize on opportunities.” Read more about this recognition and the inspiring stories of other women-led businesses making an impact: https://lnkd.in/edCTd2KT #WomenInBusiness #womeninleadership #WomenOwnedBusiness #HealthcareInnovation #DigitalHealth
