To drive meaningful change in research, we must actively engage with the communities that are often overlooked. Too often, people take progress for granted, but real improvement comes from those willing to step up. By reaching areas with limited education or financial resources, we ensure that those who need the most help are included. It is truley so exciting to see SO MANY incredible women led health and med tech companies, building product and solutions for women's health. As someone who suffers from endometriosis, seeing what the NSW government announced this week in regards to healthcare benefits for women's health, almost made me cry. While public health and #transportation are two distinct disciplines, both rely on community engagement, use data to inform decisions, pilot projects to inform future decisions, and ultimately work to keep populations safe. This research report found #publichealth entities were involved in assessment, policy development, and assurance for Vision Zero (VZ) initiatives. Integration of public health into VZ efforts will enhance the success of overlapping goals from each discipline related to improved #publicsafety and ultimately a reduction in serious and fatal traffic-related crashes.
