Like many lately, in my work I've been reflecting on GenAI and its impacts, especially on young people. Back in my cybersafety expert days, post-teacher, I wrote a chapter for GenNext - looking at how the smart phone had been a game changer for potentially risky behaviours. It began by quoting a Telephony Magazine edition from 1905 - I was illustrating how tech has long disrupted all kinds of human behaviours, and while each new disrupter can seem like a whole new world, and scary, many of the underlying human traits are the same.
