The Why We Lead study found schools were complex for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) youth: schools are vital sources of community support for AANHPI youth; and they also serve as arenas of bias and prejudice from peers and adults alike. Fortunately, the Girls Leadership Youth Research Council has provided a roadmap educators and policymakers can use to support and cultivate the leadership potential of AANHPI youth.
