Cybersecurity professionals are facing unprecedented challenges, and the current focus on mitigation is not a sustainable solution. By acknowledging the core problem, educating others, and advocating for real change, we can improve network security and improve the mental health of those on the front lines.

On October 1st, Health-ISAC released the updated Health-ISAC/Health Sector Incident Coordination Guidance Updated to Members. What information and when to share has often been an enduring challenge for many organizations. Best practices as discussed and discovered during collaborative workshops indicate that organizations and the sector are best served by ensuring that senior leadership and legal counsel work with crisis management incident response teams to put notifications directly within response plans, along with the associated triggers and crafted messaging as appropriate.
