Hey everyone, I wanted to give you a quick update on my recent endeavors. Over the past 8 weeks, I’ve been fully immersed in my thesis project, focusing on unraveling customer behavior in public transportation through statistical analysis and advanced data mining techniques. 🚆💡 It’s been an incredible journey delving into the convergence of public transportation, big data, and machine learning. Having access to real data from the same service that I’ve relied on for the first 20 years of my life in my hometown of Stockholm adds a unique perspective to my research. I firmly believe that the most impactful results are achieved through collaboration and knowledge sharing. That’s why I’m reaching out to domain experts in public transportation, big data analytics, and related fields. If you’re curious to learn more or keen to share your experiences, I’d love to connect and glean insights from your expertise. Feel free to message me directly or tag someone who might be able to offer valuable guidance. Together, let’s continue to push the boundaries of knowledge and innovation in this captivating field! Looking forward to connecting with you all, Tobias Johannesson #DataScience #BigData #MachineLearning #PublicTransportation #Research #DataMining #Analytics #STEM #ResearchCommunity #DataAnalysis #TransportationData #DataInsights #AIResearch

Navigating the bustling train stations of NYC this week, I encountered a maze of routes and signs, a world not unlike the complex landscapes we traverse in data governance. As professionals in this field, we are the seasoned commuters of data infrastructure, adept at maneuvering through our meticulously organized data catalogs and governance models. But just as I found myself occasionally lost amidst the city’s transit pathways, it reminds me that what seems intuitive to us can be a labyrinth for others. The myriad of signs and digital aids, much like our data governance tools, provide guidance but can’t replace the experience and understanding gained over time. This journey underscores the importance of data enablement. Establishing a solid foundation is crucial, not just in mastering the routes but in cultivating a robust data culture. It’s a reminder that excellence in data governance extends beyond creating perfect models; it’s about making the journey accessible and navigable for everyone. Let’s champion the cause of making data governance as user-friendly as navigating a well-mapped city, ensuring our teams can move forward confidently, even in unfamiliar territory as we modernize and start our AI journeys! #DataGovernance #DataCulture #DataEnablement #NavigatingComplexity #NYC

Ever wonder how the dynamic world of distributed systems is revolutionizing the way we handle data? 🌐💡 I had the privilege of diving deep into this during my final year project on "Dynamic Multiuser Load Balancing in Distributed Systems". Utilizing a DHT and the Max min Algorithm, we tackled real-time challenges of resource allocation and data management. This experience not only honed my problem-solving skills but also highlighted the significance of efficient data handling in our increasingly digital world. Have you encountered similar challenges in data management? Let's exchange insights! #DistributedSystems #DataManagement #Innovation #Engineering

🔍 What do you do? It's a tricky question because my work spans many areas. My favorite part, however, is working on innovative projects that align with my passions and hobbies. I enjoy environments where my expertise and knowledge are needed (and used), and where I can simultaneously learn something new. It's crucial for me that the relationship between the project and my skills is reciprocal—we learn and progress together. One of things that I am involved in at the moment, the ongoing UNDERPIN project is particularly exciting yet challenging to explain to non-technical audiences. The UNDERPIN Data Space, like space itself, is intangible but vital. As we build this pan-European data space for the #manufacturing sector (#refineries and #windfarms), targeting #SMEs, each step brings us closer to our goal. Data spaces represent the future of how data will be stored, shared, and used. Check the video for more information about data spaces. It is short and to the point. 📢 If you are an #SME involved in the manufacturing industry, make sure to follow the UNDERPIN project. Or share and let the good ideas spread. 🌐 Project website: https://lnkd.in/dpS5BSz5 #Innovation #DataSpaces #SMEs #Manufacturing #UNDERPINProject
