GXO Logistics, Inc. has just started testing Reflex Robotics’ humanoid robot on its warehouse floors as part of its operational incubator program. This humanoid robot, with its unique design, features a dynamic "torso" mounted on a base, with arms and sensors that can move up and down to handle various tasks. The pilot is focused on evaluating the robot's potential in managing tasks like removing empty cartons and handling corrugated materials from conveyors. Reflex Robotics' humanoid starts with teleoperation (remote control), learning from human demonstrations before gradually transitioning to autonomy. 🕹️ Though still in early trials, this partnership marks a key step in GXO's broader robotics-as-a-service strategy, which has included testing other humanoid robots. Founded by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) alumni, Reflex Robotics envisions broader applications for its robots, including shelf picking, order replenishment, and quality assurance in future deployments. Congrats Adrian Stoch & team! Retrieved on: Tag a Geek #Robotics #Automation #Innovation #Logistics #AI #WarehouseTech #ReflexRobotics #HumanoidRobot
