🔵🟡 Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending our parent company Invesco EMEA’s DEI groups event. Massive shout out to Devvya Sharma for organising such an inspiring event. I came away feeling energized by the discussions and insights shared. DEI is something I am incredibly passionate about. In today's interconnected world, DEI is not just a moral imperative but a business one. DEI networks foster environments where diverse perspectives are valued, driving innovation, creativity, and better decision-making. These networks empower employees to bring their whole selves to work, enhancing engagement and productivity. The event highlighted how important DEI networks are and how they can: 🔵 Enhance Global Collaboration by bridging cultural gaps and promoting mutual understanding. 🟡 Drive Market Growth - Diverse teams better understand and serve diverse markets. 🔵 Foster Talent Retention - Inclusive cultures attract and retain top talent from all backgrounds. 🟡 Encourage Leadership Development - DEI networks provide mentorship and growth opportunities for underrepresented groups. Oscar Armitage, Monica Danson-Scadden it was great connecting with you and hearing how passionate you are about the networks you are involved in. It’s also great to see sponsorship of the networks from people like Mark Bartley, Michael Isola, Adrian Mulryan Denise Slater and Rene Marston. Investing in DEI networks is investing in people and the future of businesses. Let's continue to champion DEI initiatives and create workplaces where everyone can thrive. Glad I work for a company like intelliflo that shares the passion. Invesco US Invesco Ltd. Vulnerability & gratitude time 😬. On Wednesday I presented to some of Australia's most successful CEOs. And I was terrified. I've keynoted in 4 different countries at countless events but this was different. These were my peers. And there was about 150 of them. These were successful leaders who led businesses from $2m to $100m+ Titans of industry and over achievers that have done amazing things. AND if I stuffed up I would see them at future The CEO Institute events! But at the moment Anne Massey so warmly called me up, muscle memory kicked in and I was completely at home. Thank you Anne, your energy is contagious, your creativity is inspiring and as an MC, you kept us engaged and the ship running oh so smoothly. Shout-out to Richard Wynn, CCEO - a man, get this, who's first gig as a CEO is at The CEO Institute 🤯. You certainly wouldn't have guessed it! Well done on the brand refresh and fresh direction CEOi is on under your helm. Thank you to Kelli Hayes for leading such a captivating panel on Inter-generational Dynamics in the workplace. You educated us on the workplace dynamics of Baby Boomers, Gen X, Millennials and Gen Z. Kelli, I also love how you shared how although progress has been in diversity representations at the C-level, much still has to be done. Thank you 🙏 . Jordan Sexty you were a G my friend. Challenging a room full of alphas that perhaps older gens shouldn't expect young gens to slow down, but rather looking at speeding up themselves. Your articulation was better than mine here. And I can't forget my friend Tania Agliozzo - the behind the scenes hero who co-ordinated the most professional and smooth C-level event I have ever seen. Finally a huge thanks of gratitude to my chair of syndicate 40, Tasso Papachatgis. Tasso you gave me a tough broad topic to talk about, Innovation, and you support and guidance went a long way. No one could have capped off the event as good as you did. P.S. My keynote was on 'The Innovation Imperative: Thriving in a New Business Era'. DM me if you'd like me to speak at you next event or need help with your sales and marketing.

Happy Friday, everyone! Does anyone else feel like 2025 has been running at full speed? So many moving parts, so many people to connect with—but honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. There's so much to be done, and I’m thrilled to see what’s on the horizon. Last night was one for the books! I had the chance to attend not one, but two amazing events in Albany. First, I stopped by the Albany Black Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Members Meeting, where CEO Deshanna C. Wiggins unveiled a beautiful founding member plaque. It was a room filled with incredible energy, familiar faces, and some new connections I’m looking forward to building. After that, I hustled across the city— on foot and in dress shoes no less!—to make it to Ezra P. Scott Jr, MBA, M.Ed's Professionals Under 40 networking event. The crowd was vibrant, and the room was full of the Capital Region’s rising stars. I’ll admit, my feet didn’t appreciate it 😅, but the experience was well worth it. For me, being in the room is non-negotiable. Whether it’s business, community engagement, or supporting others simply for the sake of doing good—I show up. A.M.T.A.E. Solutions LLC embodies that same spirit. Last night, I know I crossed paths with tomorrow’s servant leaders, elected officials, and top executives. My question is: when and where will I connect with you? Let’s make time to collaborate, build, and create a force like no other. The talent is here, the passion is here—let’s put it to work! #Networking #CommunityEngagement #AMTAESolutions #Leadership #Collaboration

Founded in 1968 by Steve Forbes, this highly selective event stands as one of the largest and most influential undergraduate business conferences, bringing together top business executives and exceptional students from around the world. It served as an invaluable platform for networking with global leaders and emerging talent, all united in their commitment to shaping a brighter future and bridging the gap between today’s industry pioneers and the next generation of innovators. The conference featured inspiring talks with leaders like: Douglas Peterson, former CEO of S&P Global Anthony Capuano, CEO of Marriott International Victor Cho, former CEO of Evite Scott M. Mills, CEO of BET Media Group, Inc. Paul Griggs, U.S. Senior Partner at PwC Jane McCooey, Executive Director and COO at Morgan Stanley Tiffany Eng, Global Treasurer at BNY Christina Shim, Chief Sustainability Officer at IBM Karen Jordan, Chief Supply Chain Officer at PepsiCo Jim Lee, Executive VP & Chief Financial Officer, Target Bill Schlough, Chief Information Officer of San Francisco Giants and many more! This experience offered unique insights into how top companies innovate in supply chains, operational efficiency, and marketing strategy, while connecting me with passionate peers from diverse cultures. Some of my key takeaways included fostering a mindset of continuous growth, taking calculated risks, and practicing transparent communication and active listening. The sessions emphasized the power of networking, building strong relationships, and seeking guidance to overcome challenges and self-doubt. Reflecting on these insights, I am inspired to further embrace risk-taking and personal growth as I navigate my own path. The Power of Coming Together Last week, I had the privilege of being in Amsterdam, surrounded by remarkable leaders from across the teams. Every conversation was an opportunity to learn, share stories, and grow. At Highberg, we’ve been steadily building capabilities over the years, and this gathering reminded me why we are stronger together. The highlight of my week? Attending the 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐠 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥, where over 400 professionals gathered from all corners of the Europe. As a management team, we reflected on market trends and strategized for the future. But the best part wasn’t just the work—it was the human connection. 🙌 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬: In today’s digital age, real connections are more valuable than ever. Eye contact, shared laughter, spontaneous conversations—these moments create bonds that emails and online calls simply can’t. When we come together, we don’t just exchange ideas, we amplify them. 🌀 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐬 & 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 serve a bigger purpose than we realize. They remind us to pause, reflect, and celebrate our collective journey. At the Highberg Festival, it wasn’t just about work—it was about celebrating our 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐰𝐞 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲. Oh, and let’s not forget the fun! From thought-provoking discussions to full-on excitement—I even joined a group performing the 𝐇𝐚𝐤𝐚, an unforgettable moment that symbolized unity and strength. It reminded me how crucial it is to embrace the spirit of play in 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤. 𝐀 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲: No matter how busy we are, there’s real strength in knowing when to pause, reflect, and celebrate the people around us. 💡 As leaders, it's easy to focus solely on the future growth, but moments of connection are what truly transform us—individually and collectively. Tagging the incredible leaders who made this experience so special: Han Driessen, Niels Groen, Eelco Rustenburg, Miranda Goossens, Walter Lutz, Gido van Puijenbroek, Irma Doze, Ralph Hofman, Koen Harbers, Samantha Rosich, Florence Colonne, Kimberley Boot and many more. Some of the most powerful insights, connections and life lessons I've gained have come from mentors and people in my network with radically different lived experiences... And yet, many young people don’t have the access to networks that could be critical in unlocking their full potential. So, i’m pumped that in just a few weeks time, we’re bringing our next Changemaker Moments event to life - and this time it has a focus on Retail-Tech careers 🙏 Each event in this series brings together young people from our network, and business leaders in a uniquely Unloc fashion - including the young people 'reverse mentoring' the business leaders, learning about their career and life story along the way.. They are truly inspiring for the young people - and the business leaders find them eye opening and transformative too. Afterwards, business leaders join their peers for sparky small group discussions and dynamic panels looking at the future talent of the sector. This event is going to be epic. If you’re in the Retail-Tech (or a connected!) world - we’d love to have you with us on 3rd October - and I promise it will be one of the most rewarding afternoons you’ll have at work this year. 💥 Share this, get involved and join us -> https://lnkd.in/eNhBpSEx Mark McClennon MBE Xavier White Kristy Kuzera Dave Lorraine Antiri Jonathan Sheldrake Melanie Stocker Mark Turner Pablo Hepworth Lloyd OBE Karolina Graham Ross Charlie Arnone Daniel Evans Tony Judd Rob Nicol Francesca Furtado Mills Tom Lloyd Abi Robertson James Obot natalie gurr Chris Thomas Simon P. Key insights from our latest DEI Leader event! 🌟 At our recent DEI Leader Panel Discussion, we gathered valuable insights on driving DEI initiatives forward. Here are the highlights: 💡 Board-Level commitment: The support of your board matters. Board sponsorship is crucial to embed DEI at the highest levels of decision-making and resource allocation. 💡 Integrate DEI into Business Strategy: DEI should be an integral part of your business strategy, not a standalone initiative. This seamless integration ensures that DEI principles guide all aspects of your operations. 💡 Holistic social impact: There's a growing trend of combining ESG efforts with DEI initiatives under a broader 'social impact' umbrella. This comprehensive approach amplifies the positive change we can achieve together. 💡 Measure impact: Utilize comprehensive surveys and tools to continuously assess the employee experience and measure the year-over-year impact of your DEI initiatives. 💡 Engage everyone: DEI is a collective effort! Encourage all employees to actively participate by incorporating DEI contributions into performance assessments. This ensures that DEI work is recognized and valued across the organization. 💡 Regional nuances matter: Navigating DEI across different regions comes with unique challenges. For instance, "diversity fatigue" in the US might not resonate globally. The approach to DEI must be culturally sensitive and adaptable. Thank you to our fantastic panelists! 🙌🏽💫 #DEI #DiversityEquityInclusion #SocialImpact #BusinessStrategy #EmployeeEngagement #
