Tuskira isn’t just a name; it’s a signal—a mesh woven tight enough to block out threats and nimble enough to adapt when the game changes. With $28.5M now fueling their mission, this San Francisco powerhouse is leaning all the way into their AI-powered platform to do what others haven’t even imagined: unify 150+ security tools into a seamless, predictive force field. The results? Real-time insights, automated assessments, and a level of foresight that turns reacting into a thing of the past. This isn’t the future of cybersecurity; it’s the present finally catching up. At the helm, CEO Piyush Sharrma brings a track record that speaks louder than any tagline. He built Accurics, sold it to Tenable for $160M, and now he’s doubling down on a vision that doesn’t stop at “good enough.” Sharma’s crew is stacked: om moolchandani, who balances the technical and strategic as CISO & CPO, and Vipul Parmar, whose technical chops as CTO are making the impossible look easy. Together, they’re not just building software—they’re crafting a new standard, one line of code and one patented innovation at a time. The $28.5M injection, led by Intel Capital and SYN Ventures with backing from Sorenson Capital, Rain Capital, and Wipro Ventures, isn’t just capital; it’s a green light for Tuskira to keep pushing. Investors like Intel’s Sunil Kurkure aren’t shy about the potential: “This solution has the potential to redefine proactive security.” The message is clear—while the world scrambles to patch, Tuskira is already outthinking the next wave of attacks. And don’t think this is just about the tech. It’s the mission that hits hardest: preventing breaches that cost organizations upwards of $4.45M per hit. AI-augmented attacks are evolving, and Tuskira is moving faster. #Startups #StartupFunding #Security #SecurityTools #ThreatManagement #TechEcosystem #StartupEcosystem #Cybersecurity #VentureCapital #SecurityTools #AIAttacks #AIAttackPrevention

News flash: Orchid Security is finally out of Stealth. Orchid who??? 1. It's the Orchid Security that is coming to the IAM saturated attack vector and has something innovative and strong to say: "say goodbye to never ending IAM integrations for each and every application forever - at a huge cost". Public references? Many including both Costco Wholesale and Repsol. 2. The Orchid Security that has a wildly experienced. Led by CEO and many-timer Roy K., Robert Wiseman, Ido Kelson and Paz Menshes. These folks are a treat to deal with. 3. The Same Orchid Security that will join us at the Skiso on Feb 5-7 in Banff. If you never met Roy K. and Paz Menshes (who recently ran the Team8 CISO village), that's your chance. Good things are coming to IAM folks, prepare to be impressed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ You: "Wait what? No more never ending integration projects? At a huge cost? Just to do it again as soon as standards change? Demanding unrealistic amount of resources? It sounds too good to be true". Me: I said what I said. 😎
After over two decades in cybersecurity, I've had the privilege of bringing various technologies to life. Some took off instantly, while others needed time to find their stride. I've seen even mature technologies face roadblocks, only to thrive later when the right spark reignited their potential. Through all of this, one thing has become clear: true, sustainable success happens when everything aligns perfectly—market readiness, product fit, messaging, sales, and support, all in harmony. That’s why today is so special. I’m excited to introduce #OrchidSecurity and our groundbreaking Identity-first Security Orchestration platform, designed to meet today’s needs and transform how enterprises consume identity security. A special shoutout to my co-founders, Robert Wiseman, Ido Kelson, and founding members Udi Yavo and Jeff Williams for their passion and dedication in making this vision a reality. We’ve pulled back the curtains—and now it’s time to get down to business! ✨ 🥷 Yesterday, we officially emerged from stealth with Orchid Security 🌸. The excitement has been off the charts! But while this is awesome, the urgency around identity is growing every day. Think of your identity ecosystem like a train station: it may have started with a single train 🚂 and a few passengers, but now it’s a sprawling network—old trains, new trains, and even some forgotten “ghost” trains (those self-hosted apps!). All running on different schedules… talk about chaos! Orchid Security is your central control tower, orchestrating identity across your existing tools—no rip-and-replace meltdown required. As tech evolved, we’re harnessing LLM-powered intelligence and ephemeral orchestration to fix those pesky root causes that create fragmentation. The result? As Roy K. beautifully said in his post yesterday - Is a more holistic, unified approach to managing digital identities. https://lnkd.in/eCb8Vh-R Unifying everything (yes, even those dusty, custom-built apps!) into one seamless identity layer is not about reinventing your entire station; it’s about turbo-charging what you already have. So buckle up—this is just the beginning, and the next stop is unstoppable identity! Welcome to the identity revolution 🤟 Robert Wiseman Ido Kelson Trish Cagliostro Paz Menshes David Finger #OrchidSecurity #IAM #IdentityTech #LLM #Cybersecurity #Innovation #IDM #IGA

🦄 Breaking Tech News: Halcyon Achieves Unicorn Status with $100M Series C Congratulations to Halcyon Tech Inc. on reaching a $1B valuation in their latest funding round led by Evolution Equity Partners, with participation from Bain Capital Ventures and ServiceNow Ventures. Why This Matters: The Austin-based company is revolutionizing ransomware protection using AI and machine learning to reverse attack effects before they impact operations. Cyera just put the cybersecurity world on notice, locking in a jaw-dropping $300M Series D that rockets their valuation to $3B. New York City is their HQ, but let’s not kid ourselves—this is global domination in the making. Founded by Yotam Segev and Tamar Bar-Ilan, two Israeli Military Intelligence vets who traded in covert ops for corporate-level defense, Cyera is rewriting the rulebook on how enterprises protect their most valuable asset: data. This isn’t your garden-variety funding round. With Accel and Sapphire Ventures leading the charge and Sequoia Capital, Coatue, and Redpoint in the mix, this is a power move. It’s a bet that Cyera’s AI-driven data security platform—real-time discovery, classification, and everything in between—isn’t just keeping pace with the cyber threat evolution; it’s lapping the field. And let’s talk about why this hits different. The stakes for businesses today? Massive. Data isn’t just “important”; it’s mission-critical. A breach doesn’t just hurt your wallet—it cripples trust, stalls growth, and leaves your reputation in shreds. Cyera’s vision? Make that nightmare a thing of the past. Their tech isn’t just smart; it’s battle-tested, scaling fast, and built for a world where traditional security models are basically duct tape on a sinking ship. This funding will fuel Cyera’s growth blitz—expanding their team, advancing their platform, and setting the standard for what next-gen data security should look like. Yotam, Tamar, and the NYC-based crew just gave us all a masterclass in how to play the long game. Cybersecurity isn’t optional anymore—it’s existential. And Cyera? They’re the ones making sure businesses stay in the fight. #Cybersecurity #DataProtection #DataSecurity #Security #DataDefense #AISecurity #AI #ThreatProtection #Startups #SeriesD #Technology #Innovation #NYCTech #TechEcosystem #StartupEcosystem #VentureCapital #StartupFunding

🚨 The CrowdStrike mess has got VCs buzzing about new startups that could stop another tech meltdown Basically, a buggy update from CrowdStrike caused chaos worldwide - we're talking airlines, hospitals, banks, you name it. Some VCs are seeing dollar signs in all this chaos. They're thinking, "Hey, it's 2024 - how can one bad update still wreck everything?" They reckon this is prime startup territory. A few ideas are floating around. Some folks are pushing for better ways to test and roll out updates. Others are hyping up companies like Fleet that keep an eye on your system's weak spots. There's also chatter about security that doesn't mess with the core of your computer (the kernel) - companies like Wiz and Oligo are doing this kind of thing. It's not just about cybersecurity either. VCs are talking up the need for better cloud monitoring and making sure all those fancy AI integrations don't fall apart. Bottom line: VCs think this is just the start of seeing cracks in our tech foundation, especially in old-school industries. They're betting we'll see a bunch of new startups pop up to tackle these problems. It's all about making our tech more bulletproof, you know?
