Yes, we are privileged to be at the top of Maslows Hirearchy. With that privilege we get to live in possibilities, in abundance and in a world that we get to create. I have seen how working a job you hate can affect every part of your life. How it affects your self esteem, your health and and your family/community. It's my mission to help as many people as I possibly can live their life's purpose and find meaningful work. Doing work you love, being fulfilled, caring enough about yourself is not only good for you. It's good for everyone around you and it creates a better world. The cost is too great to not live in your life's purpose and take a chance on your dream life. Tell us about your role at Health Window. As the Patient Support Business Unit Manager, my role involves leading programs that support patients throughout their healthcare journey. I oversee a dedicated team of case managers and nurses who work to ensure patients have access to specialized medication, receive adherence guidance, and gain essential disease education. 2. In your career, what lesson stands out as the most valuable? Kindness is free—be open to giving others a chance; they may surprise you in ways you don’t expect. Approach everything with excellence, because people notice even the smallest details. 3. What’s your favourite book of all time? The Shack by William P Young 4. What are some hobbies you enjoy outside of work? I am actively involved in ministry work and giving back is something that brings me joy. Helping others is my hobby! 5. What do you enjoy most about working at Health Window? The work environment is shaped by each of us as employees. Medical Professionals aka Superhero's: It’s time to think like a mortal—here’s why: You can’t do it all, and that’s absolutely okay. In healthcare, it often feels like we’re constantly racing against the clock, juggling a million tasks at once. But here’s the truth: Burnout is inevitable without proper care and attention. And when burnout hits, it leads to dissatisfaction, low performance, and that nagging feeling of being stuck. So, let’s borrow some wisdom from 𝙊𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝘽𝙪𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙣’𝙨 4000 𝙒𝙚𝙚𝙠𝙨; 𝙏𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙈𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙨 to help us nurture ourselves effectively: 1. Accept Your Limits → Your time is finite. Embrace that. → Focus on what truly matters, not what’s just “urgent.” 2. Prioritize Caring for Yourself → Balance your passion for patient care with taking care of YOU. 3. Embrace Imperfection → Perfection is a myth. → Do your best, but know that’s more than enough. 4. Invest in Relationships → Build strong connections both inside and outside of work. 5. Find Joy Outside of Work → Engage in activities that light you up and bring happiness. 6. Set Boundaries → Protect your time and energy—no guilt, no apologies. 7. Make Your Weeks Count → Choose activities that are sustainable, fulfilling, and aligned with your values. Your pharmacy job should promote restful nights, not restless ones! I’ll never forget my panic attack during residency—caught between a demanding boss and chaotic team dynamics. Moving into ambulatory care didn’t help; the stress, burnout, and frustration piled on. I kept praying for change, but nothing improved. After 10 years of researching burnout and resiliency, I’ve learned one truth: burnout isn’t your fault—it’s caused by your environment. Toxic workplaces leave you drained, unappreciated, and uninspired. The solution? Change the environment. For me, that meant starting my own business. For many pharmacists at The Happy PharmD, it’s about finding a job that supports their well-being and growth. If you're questioning your current role, here are some tough love questions to ask yourself: ·When was the last time you felt appreciated for your work? (>1 month ago… GET OUT!) ·Do you stand behind your company’s mission, or are you quietly complaining about it? ·Are you being challenged or are you stuck in your comfort zone? Let me share a story with you... Years ago, 10 years ago to be exact.... I found myself stuck in a cycle of doctor visits and medication, always feeling like I was hitting a brick wall with my health. It was always the same: Make an appointment, hope for an answer, then head to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription that never helped. One day...I walked out of the Dr. office, got in my car, ready to head to the pharmacy and I broke down in tears to God. Was this really it? Was this my life? What, I got 10-12 years of living life, now it was about managing symptoms until the end? I knew this couldn't just be it. There were others out there living life vibrantly....what was I missing??? That’s when I discovered the health secret...that wasn't really a secret, but a secret to me because I was never taught. I became a sponge, soaking up as much as I could..I watched my whole world begin to bloom into the life I knew was meant to live. It wasn’t just a personal breakthrough—it became my mission. If I needed it, then more people NEEDED this. Starting my wellness business wasn’t about making money; it was about helping others find the same freedom from endless Dr. visits. Freedom from prescriptions, pain and declining. I wanted people to know they weren't powerless...they had answers and way to feel better WITHOUT a Drs opinion. Watching people transform their lives—physically and financially—has been the most rewarding experience of my life. I now am living the ultimate dream, doing something my heart loves while also creating an income that helps support myself and my family. But this journey isn’t just about me, I only one person...It’s about partnering together with the people getting their life back and cultivating a community of people helping people! A movement does begins with one person, but it becomes unstoppable when others join in!
