Want to know why I talk about work culture and well-being so much? It's because I experienced working in an extremely toxic workplace under an extremely toxic boss. I spent years dealing with the trauma from that experience in therapy. For example, there were days that myself and other colleagues would puke before we went to work, and the constant stress took a toll on my mental and physical health. I'm passionate about speaking up on the importance of treating people with respect, kindness, and empathy because it matters! I'm passionate about vetting the companies we work with because I know firsthand what it's like working in a company that treats people so poorly, and I would never want to put our candidates in that position. AND it's actually a WIN-WIN because when people feel well taken care of, they perform better, are more productive, and care more.
