Last evening's Ramadan dinner with my former Finance team from Glico Indonesia was a heartwarming reminder of the strong bonds we've built. As a leader, it's crucial to understand that our role extends beyond assembling a team of the best individuals. It's about creating a safe, collaborative, and productive environment where everyone can thrive and bring out the best in each other. The commitment of the team to navigate Jakarta's challenging post-office hours traffic, coming from different areas to spend 4-5 hours together, speaks volumes about our mutual respect and enjoyment of each other's company. This gathering was not just a reunion; it was a reaffirmation of the trust and camaraderie we've cultivated, proving that true connection withstands the test of time and professional transitions. It's been 2 years since I embarked on a new journey with Maersk, yet the bond with my Glico Indonesia team remains unbreakable. With half of us pursuing growth beyond Glico and the other half continuing the legacy, it's clear that the seeds of leadership planted have blossomed into lasting relationships and personal growth for all.
