June is dedicated to #MensHealthMonth, but we proudly stand in solidarity with our community year-round, committed to lifting the veil and reshaping public perception about men's physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.💙 For too long, men seeking health care has been a topic of shame to be shelved or buried until it becomes too serious to ignore. Rather than "toughen up" or "pull up your bootstraps," we're encouraging all men and their loved ones to take that first, second, third, seventh step, especially concerning depression, substance abuse, and suicide. Because, we'll say it as many times as we need to before you believe — seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Let's make men's health a priority, today and every day. #EndTheStigma #MentalHealthMatters #YouNeedToHearThis #JFlowersHealthInstitute #SeekHelp #TakeTheFirstStep #SuicidePrevention #Addiction #SubstanceAbuse

November marks Men's Health Month, an opportunity to raise awareness about critical health issues affecting men, including mental health challenges like anxiety and depression, as well as physical conditions such as heart disease. Unfortunately, societal stigma often prevents men from seeking the support they need. By breaking down these barriers, we can encourage more men to prioritize their well-being and access the resources available to them. 5 facts about men's mental health from The Mental Health Coalition (https://lnkd.in/dZCjUU6v) : 🔸Over 6 million men struggle with depression each year. 🔸Alcohol dependency impacts 1 in 5 men. 🔸Men die by suicide more than 4x the rate of women. 🔸About 10% of patients with anorexia-nervosa or bulimia are men. 🔸Of those who receive a schizophrenia diagnosis by the age of 30, 90% are men. If this resonates, know there are plenty of free resources available to help lawyers and judges, their family members, and law students deal with mental health and/or substance use challenges. Our 24/7 helpline (1-888-999-1941) is 100% confidential. #LCLPA #LCLPAresources #menshealthmonth #YOUmatter #breakthestigma #mentalhealth #substanceuse #wedorecover #youareNOTalone #lawyers #judges #lawstudents #legalcommunity

July is National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month! Let’s take time to reflect on the specific challenges to mental health that racial and ethnic minorities face and what we can do to address these challenges in our lives and workplaces. Factors like stigma, insurance access, and the struggle to find culturally competent providers play a huge role in racial mental health care disparities; our role is vital in addressing these! This month, let’s commit to understanding these barriers and working towards mental health equity and a more just world. #MinorityMentalHealth
