Are you, or a person you support, nearing the end of the schooling journey? The transition from high school to post-school is a significant time of change: change in routines, change to supports, and a shift in the mindset and identity of the person and their support network. All of this change can be quite overwhelming, but we have a webinar that could help put your mind at ease. Hosted by Lisa and Alex, they will help you consider: – What is important to me/my person post-school? – How does the role of the family and informal supports change post-school? – What do I want to experience, and how do I want my post-school weeks to look? To watch, head to our webinar page: https://lnkd.in/gKxm8jRt

When you bring your kids into helping with the everyday tasks it does so much more… 1. You are helping them learn skills that they can implement into other parts of their life. 2. You’re building their self confidence by trusting them to help and even more so as they get better and can do independent of your guidance. 3. It stimulates conversations, questions and bonding verses just going through the motions. These are just a few examples quickly jotted down. In our coaching groups we dive into age appropriate ideas for outsourcing to your kids, the money mindset it’s helping to nurture, and the benefits in the life long learning that can be implemented from really 2years old on. What are your favorite ways to have your children help? If you want to check out our value creation system comment 'dinner table' below and I will send you information.

Hi, I’m Sarah Weisbarth, Director of Discover You, a part of the Rock Center for Youth Development and member of the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition. I am excited to share with you Life Hack #1 the Learning Loop. I love the Learning Loop. It’s a tool we teach in our programs, we use in our organization and I also use it personally. Personally, it’s a simple, yet powerful tool that helps me reflect on a lot of different parts of my day. For me, the Learning Loop is like self-awareness in action. Instead of focusing only on what went wrong, I prime my brain to notice the positives too. It’s become second nature now. Everyday on my drive home I ask myself the three questions of the Learning Loop: “What went well? What did I struggle with? What will I do differently next time?” If you want to try this Life Hack out the best thing is to just start. Pick a time like after a meeting, an event, or just at the end of the day, asking those three simple questions creates space for growth. So I encourage you to give the Learning Loop a try. It might sound overly simple, but sometimes the best tools are. https://lnkd.in/gRwxzYtz View Full Video and all Life Hacks Here👇 https://lnkd.in/gReCpTFB 🧡💚 #lifehackinaction #midlandareawellbeingcoalition #wellbeing

🚀 Empowering the Next Generation to Design Their Lives I had the privilege of facilitating a dynamic 3-hour online workshop for teenagers, focusing on an essential skill that’s often overlooked: how to be proactive in designing their life and career paths with Design Your Life at 25 The workshop combined insights from **scientific personality assessments like the Holland Code with the Engineering Design Process—a powerful framework to guide exploration, reflection, and action. Here's what we achieved together: ✨ Self-Discovery: Participants dove deep into understanding their strengths, interests, and values through engaging activities, guided discussions, and evidence-based tools. 🧠 Unlearning & Mindset Shifts: We challenged preconceived notions and encouraged participants to unlearn limiting beliefs that might hold them back from pursuing a fulfilling future. 🎨 Prototyping Their Future: Using creativity and strategic thinking, each participant envisioned the life they aspire to lead. 🗺️ Roadmap & Action Plan: By the end of the session, every teen had a clear, actionable roadmap to start moving closer to their designed life—with steps they can take as soon as we close the meeting. Witnessing these young minds gain clarity and confidence was deeply rewarding. It reinforced my belief that empowering teenagers with tools and frameworks for intentional living can profoundly shape their futures. If you're passionate about helping young people unlock their potential or are curious about the workshop's methodology, feel free to connect. Together, we can build a generation that doesn’t just dream about the future but actively designs it. #DesignYourLife #TeenEmpowerment #CareerPathways #PersonalGrowth #FutureLeaders

🌟 The Power of One Word 🌟 I always find it remarkable when the lessons I share/teach end up showing up in my own life. This morning presented me with a prime example of this. I encountered an unexpected hurdle when I was scheduled to deliver a 60-minute keynote followed by a 4-hour training session with city workers in Arkansas. A water outage emergency in the city meant that most of my intended audience—those directly involved in resolving the issue—would be either occupied with urgent tasks or recuperating from overnight efforts. Initially, frustration and disappointment threatened to overshadow my mindset. However, in a moment of clarity, I remembered my word for 2024: FLEXIBLE. While initially, I picked this word because of the built-in challenges of raising three children under the age of 4, it dawned on me that its relevance extended far beyond family life—it was about embracing the fluidity of life itself. With this in mind, I proposed to my contact at the city office that we reschedule the session to a time when the intended audience could fully participate and engage. Their understanding and willingness to accommodate reinforced the value of flexibility in navigating unexpected circumstances. This experience serves as a poignant reminder of the impact our perspectives have on the decisions we make and the attitudes we carry. My journey through today's challenge was significantly smoother because of my commitment to being flexible in the face of adversity. What's your One Word for 2024? Share it in the comments below, and let's see how many of us are guided by similar principles.
