How to Measure Control Pause Correctly If you're practising Buteyko Breathing, measuring Control Pause (CP) daily or multiple times daily is crucial. CP stands as the most vital parameter in the Buteyko Method. However, performing the CP test accurately presents challenges due to uncertainties in the instructions, such as: ➡️Breathing in and out normally before the breath-hold. ➡️Stopping the hold when there's a distinctive urge to breathe. ➡️Ensuring the breaths after the hold are similar to those before the hold.
