Yoga is more than postures. It is not about getting a yoga butt. Nor does it require you to be a bendy flexy pretzel. Yoga is a state of being. When we practice yoga, we reconnect with ourselves. Yoga is a practice of union. According to Yoga, the root cause of suffering is that we have forgotten who we are. Yoga helps us remember. The tools (postures, breathing, mantra, hand gestures, meditation, et al) are the means, not the end. This 5,000 year old system is an art, and a science. Postures are just a tip of the iceberg. Fancy yoga pants not required. _____ Want to know more about what’s underneath? Ask in the comments and visit my profile for more.
