Twitter Inc. is going extinct. 🐦 According to a court filing from last week, Twitter has been rolled up under Elon's recently created X Corp entity. Wait, huh? What does that mean? Maybe it's nothing. 🤷♂️ It's possible this will just consolidate Elon's holdings (Twitter, SpaceX, Tesla, Neuralink, and The Boring Company) under a single parent company. Much like Google with Alphabet Inc. Maybe it's a masterstroke. 🧠 Others think this is all part of Elon's master plan to build an "everything app" a la WeChat. If so, Twitter ➡️ X could be the biggest corporate rebrand since Facebook ➡️ Meta. The name has serious nostalgia factor for Elon, who co-founded an online bank called X.com in 1999. A year later, it merged with payments competitor Confinity to become PayPal. Since acquiring Twitter, Elon has signaled that he plans to execute the original X product plan "with some improvements" in order to create "the most valuable financial institution in the world." Pretty ambitious bet to transform a social platform into a fintech company! Or maybe it's a legal gambit. ♟️ Some have suggested this may just be a corporate restructuring ploy to avoid paying Twitter liabilities. What's your take? Elon is trolling to manufacture consent for the optimum conditions for his goals. The USA 🇺🇸 will have to compete for his presence soon. Let me explain: X the everything app IS a possibility (aka western WeChat). How? Well the dude owns his own damn internet in space. He can give away access for free or cheap and make up margins on services in X. If the laws don’t provide it here there’s over 7 billion other customers outside of USA that live in countries that might. You think it’s preposterous that Elon left California for Texas? Just wait until he leaves USA for Vietnam 🇻🇳.
No one is going to call Twitter, X, just like no one calls Google, "Alphabet" and no one calls Facebook, "Meta."
It might be brilliance disguised as chaos but all Twitter news is disheartening and doesn’t give good vibes anymore.

A WeChat for US can't ever exist. We would (and should) block such an integrated and ubiquitous company from ever existing. From an anti-monopoly standpoint. Don't get me wrong, the idea is great, but it kills competition, and what's legal in China won't fly here.
