Today’s big question for marketing leaders: Why would you ship your most valuable data out of your core CRM to multiple 3rd-party SaaS tools? In 2024, centralizing around a single source of truth is no longer a “nice-to-have”—it’s essential. Here’s why: 🚩 1. Data integrity and consistency: When you centralize in one core CRM like Salesforce, your insights are unified. Moving data into different tools? It’s a recipe for fragmented (and inaccurate) reporting. 🚩 2. Endless Innovations You Won’t Want to Miss: With features like AI AgentForce on the horizon, Salesforce is reimagining how organizations connect, automate, and scale. If you’re not in the CRM ecosystem (like Salesforce), your teams will miss out on game-changing innovations, like AI, built to streamline processes and enhance customer engagement. 🚩 3. Secure and scalable: Keeping data within a core CRM means stronger governance, fewer compliance headaches, and peace of mind. Every disconnected tool is one more layer of complexity. And in the end, scattered data means scattered insights. Leaders who get this are asking their teams a critical question: Are we leveraging our CRM as a strategic asset—or treating it like just another app? If your team has opted out of the core CRM, I’d think twice. Curious—how do you see “single source of truth” impacting revenue growth? Seems like a logical information) , but the way #Kenneth connects B.C. history and appearance of #CRM and #Salesforce is so much engaging! I wonder what is the most powerful tool that is the opposite to CRM...? Something that would be useful for customers.

It is interesting to know that over 20,000 years ago, our ancestors engaged in trade across boundaries. Even then, they recognized the importance of maintaining customer information. Names, locations, and wealth segmentation formed the earliest customer databases. Fast forward to today, and we’re still driven by the same core principles: understanding our customers and nurturing relationships. However, the true revolution in #CRM began In 1999, when Salesforce came onto the scene and forever changed the CRM landscape. Their audacious move was; launching the first web-based CRM platform. Suddenly, businesses could manage customer interactions seamlessly, breaking free from clunky spreadsheets and manual processes. The buzz was palpable, and industries embraced this new paradigm. Salesforce’s innovation opened the eyes of many industries to the potential of CRM. Yet, while the logic was clear, the full implementation and inherent value were not immediately grasped. Companies were still focused on controlling revenue and margins without fully realizing that strategic CRM use could propel them to new heights. Fast-forward to the present. CRM isn’t just a tool; it’s an independent pillar of growth. Whether you’re a small startup or a multinational corporation, CRM fuels success from #ProductiveMarketing, #SalesExcellence, #InnovationAccelerator, and even #PeopleCentricHR; they are all part of the CRM ecosystem. But here’s the catch: No two businesses are alike. Each has its unique DNA. The challenge lies in crafting inputs that trigger the right outputs. Whether you’re manually entering data into Excel or leveraging AI-driven CRMs, the key is #customization. In my opinion, understanding your organization’s objectives, and aligning CRM strategies to ultimately delight your #customers would be the way to go. What are your thoughts? Kindly share them in the comment section.

Are your marketing, sales, and CS teams misaligned? The reason may be as simple as they're looking in different systems that have different information. A revenue tech stack often consists of a CRM tool at the center, with various other tools including a marketing automation and customer success platform. Having different tools built specifically for the needs of each team is supposed to give each team what they need to succeed. Problems come up with this when the realities of managing a complex tech stack arise - where will the RevOps team actually devote their time? Often it's the CRM (the center of the tech stack and where sales works) rather than the CS platform or other tools. This can lead to stale data, incorrect analytics, and malfunctioning features in the tools that were intended to empower revenue teams. How can you move disjointed revenue teams towards cohesion: 1️⃣ Be very thoughtful when considering adding a tool - do you already have a tool that will accomplish similar actions? Does your team have the resources to manage the tool post-implementation? 2️⃣ If you're unable to maintain all of your current systems, think critically about which are actually driving the bottom line. Which systems can you actually quantify the ROI on? What can be eliminated and missed very little? 3️⃣ Define the source of truth. What system is the source of truth? If data differs in another system, it needs to be addressed ASAP. 4️⃣ Standardize KPIs and reporting. Define a small list of KPIs and standardize which reporting will be used to measure those KPIs. Rarely should you need to deviate from those reports, and when you do, work with tech stack owner to build new reports to ensure they're pulling in the correct data. How do you ensure your teams are looking at the same data? How do you create cohesion across revenue systems? #RevOps #techstack #CRM
