Source: (Molecules (Basel, Switzerland)) Study on flavonoid fragmentation using high-resolution electrospray tandem mass spectrometry. Analyzed 30 flavonoids, identifying common losses and key product ions. Observed CH3· loss in methoxy-containing flavonoids. Established diagnostic ions for structural elucidation and proposed fragmentation pathways, including competition between CH3· and methane losses in rhamnetin and isorhamnetin.
