If I had to take a new YouTube channel to $5k/mo, this is what I'd do... In fact, I started a new channel last month, and this is what I’ve been doing: 1) Conducting extensive topic research strategy for this channel 2) Getting my branding done: Colors, banners, design, logo, name 3) Hiring a new production team: Research assistant, video editors, scriptwriters 4) Setting up systems to automate 90% of the processes 5) Having a consultation call with a competitor in this niche with a 1-year-old channel (Got some brilliant insights) 46 days later, we are here: 1) Just touched 120k impressions 2) Crossed 12.4k views 3) Crossed 200 watch hours 4) Crossed 175+ subscribers 5) Got a sponsorship (Turned down) 6) Made our first sale! Let's be honest: building anything great takes time, and if you want solid results by next year, you've to start today. P.S. As usual, my content strategy focuses on search-based topics that will garner more views over time with better conversions The goal is to take this channel to atleast $2-3k/mo revenue in a year and then 5-6k/mo after that; until then, we'll put our heads down and produce the highest quality content possible.

Hiring managers, please, let’s get real: ✅ If you need video editing, hire a video editor. ✅ If you want stunning visuals, work with a designer. ✅ If SEO is your goal, bring in an expert for that. ✅ If you need a charismatic presenter, hire a content creator who specializes in that. ✅ And if you want a strong social media presence, hire a social media manager for what they actually do. Let’s stop expecting people to wear every hat in the room. You’ll burn them out, and your brand’s presence will suffer for it.

My former manager (Jenny Moebius) is hiring a FT content specialist at Skedda. 4 reasons why I would take this role: 1. Jenny is an amazing manager who will inspire you, support you, and invest in your growth and development. Trust me, I worked under her for a few years. 2. As a strategist AND content creator, you’ll have a say in what you create. And the scope goes beyond blog posts (thank god). Jenny can — and has — done it all, from research reports and interactive courses to physical books and commercials. If you’d like to develop your skillset beyond blog writing, this is your chance. 3. It’s hybrid (Boston) … yeah, yeah I know, everyone wants to work from home in their jammies these days. But I don’t think I’d be where I am today if I didn’t go into the office — for years — before I worked from home. It accelerated my career for sure. 4. The salary/OTE is excellent. I even think it would appeal to more experienced content marketers who love doing the work and want a positive work environment. Final thoughts: Even if you don’t have the exact experience outlined, apply anyway. I had zero formal writing or editing experience when I landed my first FT editor role. (But I had a personal blog.) I had zero formal content marketing experience when I landed a management role at a content marketing agency. (But I had been a manager and an editor.) Transferrable skills and personal attributes like drive, resilience, and curiosity matter. This could be your “foot in the door” job that actually pays well — with a manager who will treat you like you want to be treated. I’ll paste the job description below. Happy holidays! But the truth is… None of that matters, Because even if you have the flashiest of editors, But lack the content strategy to: Attract your dream customers & convert them into booked calls You’re simply flushing money down the drain.
