👷♂️ Finding a candidate that ticks all the boxes is tough in construction. We find that a lot of companies get stuck on the "years of experience" requirement, potentially missing out on great people. Here's a reality check: 🚫 Strict experience requirements can limit your options. A candidate with a stellar attitude and strong learning potential could be a better fit than someone with a bad attitude who checks all the experience boxes. 💸 Salary matters. If you can't offer the top salary for a senior role, consider a less experienced candidate with a lower salary expectation. Invest in training them to become the perfect fit for your company! 💡Think creatively. Sometimes, the best candidate isn't the exact title you advertised for. For example, a Quantity Surveyor with the right skills can make a great Commercial Manager. The key takeaway? Be open-minded!
