As the Founder of FreightValidate ✅ > ❌ and a Freight Broker with over three decades of industry experience, I wholeheartedly support the mission of StopFreightFraud.com and #FreightFraudAwarenessDay.
But awareness alone isn’t enough.
From the start, I’ve believed that we need to stop fighting each other and instead collaborate to tackle the real issue—fraud.
That’s why #FreightValidate recently integrated our platform with MyCarrierPortal
Separately, we may approach the problem differently, but together, we’re stronger in detecting and preventing fraud.
Our hope is that others follow suit and find ways to collaborate, just as we have.
The unfortunate reality is that the bad actors in this industry have invested more time, money, and effort into damaging it than industry stakeholders have into protecting it.
That must change.
My hope for Freight Fraud Awareness Day is that it becomes a catalyst for action, not just awareness.
Every day we face the threat of fraud, but this day should inspire us to come together and create real, lasting change.
Reminder!
Freight Fraud Awareness Day is Tomorrow – October 15, 2024
It’s not too late to become an advocate and help change the future of the transportation industry. Fraud impacts everyone, and together, we can drive meaningful change by raising awareness.
Take action tomorrow: Post using #FreightFraudAwarenessDay to encourage industry-wide change and inspire others to get involved.
Become an advocate today: https://lnkd.in/gbKmuRBA
Let’s unite for a more transparent, fair, and secure industry.

4moLate '90s, when I worked for a large OEM/BCO in the high-tech industry in Texas, we started shipping high-value goods via intermodal rail in the U.S.. During that same time, we founded the TAPA Transported Asset Protection Association because of ongoing cargo crime, working together with law enforcement. Since then, millions of $s have been invested in the security of MFG sites, DC's, electronic locks of trailers, containers, geo-fence technologies, port and rail terminals, etc.. Still, cargo is being stolen, with criminals (exactly) knowing what they are looking for. So what are we missing…? As long as data and paper-based information are easily available, "the bleeding" will not be stopped. Let me know if you would like to learn more about double-encrypted data and information sharing in an interoperable network solution.
