Are you involved in immunopeptidomics and interested to know more about this application used in the development of therapeutic treatment? Nice publication from Pr Etienne Caron about the future of immunopeptidomics identification of low-abundance tumor-specific antigens (TSA) at Single Cell. This publication gives a good overview of the challenges in sample preparation and MS based immunopeptidomics analysis. #immunopeptidomics #singlecell

Exciting Development in Multiple Myeloma Treatment! 🌟 Johnson & Johnson has just revealed promising results from their Phase III CARTITUDE-4 trial for CARVYKTI (ciltacabtagene autoleucel). This cell therapy shows a significant improvement in overall survival rates for multiple myeloma patients, a true game-changer in the field. The trial compared CARVYKTI with standard therapies and found remarkable results. Patients treated with CARVYKTI had a 76% overall survival rate compared to 64% with standard treatments, and the therapy reduced mortality risk by 45%. These figures demonstrate the potential for CARVYKTI to be a cornerstone treatment for patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma. #LifeSciences #Biotech #ClinicalResearch #J&J #MultipleMyelomaTreatment #Biotechnology #ClinicalTrials #LifeScience #StaffingPartner #ElixirAssociates

Global Database of Exosome Companies, 2024 - https://lnkd.in/ezHg2Pc Exosomes are small vesicles ranging from 30-100nm in size that are found in nearly all eukaryotic fluids and facilitate a range of important cellular functions. They transfer DNA, RNA, and proteins to other cells, thereby altering the function of the targeted cells. In recent years, exosomes have been gaining momentum as a strategy for accessing the therapeutic effects of cells without the risks and difficulties of administering the cells to patients. With at least 27,506 scientific articles published about exosomes and 312 clinical trials underway, these small vesicles have intriguing potential to be used within a range of therapeutic applications. The database features all known companies who are developing exosome and extracellular vesicle (EV) therapies, diagnostics, and platform technologies. #exosomes #extracellularvesicles #advancedtherapies

Comparing activation methods to yield clinical-scale expansion of γδ #Tcells Some #Tcelltherapies have been approved to treat patients with conditions like #Bcellmalignancies and #multiplemyeloma, but their use for #solidtumors remains challenging. Gamma delta (γδ) T cells have the inherent ability to infiltrate solid tumors and kill transformed cells, but their low prevalence in peripheral blood poses a challenge when generating enough cells to produce a clinical dose. Next month, Lonza Bioscience Solutions’ Chengkang Zhang (Associate Director, R&D) will present two novel methods for the expansion of #gammadeltaTcells from peripheral blood #mononuclearcells (PBMCs) and present data showcasing their suitability for clinical applications Register for this upcoming #webinar below:
