    Following complaints of malpractices in ticket sales for the Coldplay concert and diversion into the black market, the EOW has initiated investigations of Live Nation Entertainment, the organisers, and Bookmyshow, the ticketing platform. Is this something new? No, happens every season with IPL match tickets, especially the ones between top teams. The tickets on Bookmyshow disappear within minutes and when questioned, it is said only a fraction of the total tickets are sold through this platform, while rest are given to clubs under the local cricket association, apart from complimentaries. However, sizeable number of tickets find their way into the black market. There is no transparency on the total number of tickets, tickets allotted for sale on Bookmyshow, total tickets sold, etc. The EOW would do well to investigate the ticket sale process for IPL matches and its robustness. Will the EOW do it? OR will the BCCI be too big an institution to take on, when compared to Live Nation Entertainment?
