Leaders either truly seek control or performance. Weak leaders crave control. Strong leaders want performance. You’ll never get high performance with a high degree of control. Give up as much control as you can and you can get great performance.
You betcha. Present the options but never control.
So true. Always surprise me when I see a leader head down this road, then not only see what is happening but become very defensive when called out
