I uploaded a new video titled The Ins and Outs of Reporting Medical Conditions in the Military. In this video, I explain why it's so important for Reservists in every service to understand the importance of reporting medical conditions that may prevent them from deploying. Unreported medical issues can have significant consequences, not just for your health but for your military career and readiness. Properly documenting your medical conditions can safeguard your rights and ensure you get the care and support you need. Check it out and stay informed! Lack of access to medical care in the US could be impacting military readiness. An NPR analysis found that 50% of active duty military installations stand within federally designated health professional shortage areas (HPSA). Those are places where medical services are hard to find — commonly called “health care deserts.” More from NPR: https://ow.ly/txYP30sEnZ9 #healthcare #healthcaresystems #ruralhealthcare

Good news with the publication of the Veterans Report. Whilst the Royal Navy are working hard to incrementally improve our people and their families resilience and preparation for life beyond service, we still have much to do. Veterans were asked ‘How prepared or unprepared did you feel for life after service in the armed forces?’ Across the UK, veterans were most likely to have said they felt prepared to some extent (43.2% overall with 31.1% prepared and 12.1% very prepared). Around a fifth (21.8%) said they felt neither prepared or unprepared and just over a third said they felt unprepared to some extent (34.7% overall or 19.7% unprepared and 15.0% very unprepared). #RN #RM #RoyalNavy #RoyalMarines #NFF #Veterans Jude Terry https://lnkd.in/eks9QfWs

On this Memorial Day, we honor those who have served our country, and particular those who have died. It is also an opportunity to reflect on the critical role military medicine has played in advancing healthcare for service members and civilians alike. 🇺🇸 Military medical professionals have developed innovations and best practices that have been translated to benefit patients worldwide. From battlefield care to recent conflicts, military medicine has pioneered lifesaving techniques like tourniquets, blood transfusions, and tactical combat casualty care. Through a focused approach to performance improvement and research, the military has made remarkable strides in a short time. Today, partnerships between military and civilian health systems help ensure these hard-won lessons endure. By working together on training, research, and care delivery, this collaboration strengthens our ability to provide the best possible care to our service members and veterans. With numerous family members in the military, and several who have been deployed overseas during recent conflicts, the very real inherent danger in this work is never far from my mind. As we remember the fallen, let us also recognize the ongoing efforts of military medicine to protect the health of our troops at home and abroad. 🙏 #MemorialDay #MilitaryMedicine #ServiceandSacrifice #MilitaryCivilianPartnership Source: Kellermann AL, Kotwal RS, Rasmussen TE. Veterans need to read this report, share it as widely as possible, and take appopriate action for the benefit of themselves and of their families and of their fellow veterans. “DAV and MOAA’s groundbreaking report, Ending the Wait for Toxic-Exposed Veterans, reveals that on average, toxic-exposed veterans—many of them suffering life-threatening diseases—have to wait 34.1 years to receive access to the full range of health care and benefits they earned and urgently need. Tragically, some die before that ever happens. DAV and MOAA offer a blueprint for dramatically reforming how our government handles service-related toxic exposures in a way that ensures timely, equitable access to lifesaving care and benefits. The mission is simple: Ending the wait and keeping our sacred promise to America’s veterans.,,,,”
Backed by original research and historical analysis, a new report from DAV and Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) shows that toxic-exposed veterans—including those suffering life-threatening illnesses—often have to wait decades to receive access to the health care and benefits they earned and urgently need. Read the full report now at endingthewait.org.

National Service? If the Conservatives want to pledge £2.5bn on a policy that will have huge consequences for an entire generation of young people, we could all think of far better ways to spend it than compulsory military service (or whatever weird voluntary roles they’re offering as alternatives). I know it’s highly unlikely to happen. But still, add this to the last few years of discussion about higher and further education… what a way to set out what they think of the younger portions of their audience.

Private armies, also known as private military have become a reality in many parts of the world today. The concept of private armies forming when central governments are weak is not just theoretical; it is a practical solution for landowners to protect themselves and their properties in times of strife. It was the thematic ground when I conceive the idea of orange army. Imagine a world where conflicts are resolved not by countries' armies but by private military contractors. The involvement of private armies in conflict situations raises complex issues regarding human rights and power abuses. While their effectiveness is sometimes acknowledged, the necessity for stringent regulation and oversight is paramount to prevent potential abuses. The discussion around private armies and PMSCs remains a contentious topic in global security conversations, emphasizing the importance of addressing the challenges they present. #PrivateArmies #GlobalSecurity #PMSCs #ConflictResolution
