Tech Days at Kognity were an absolute blast! 3 days of insightful sessions and fun activities that brought our remote team closer together. Some highlights: 🌎 Meeting the broader team: Finally got to meet so many colleagues in person. We’re spread across different cities, so it was amazing to connect face-to-face. 📝 Learning moment: Casually mentioned a Git challenge during lunch, and a colleague helped me tackle it right then and there. Visual explanations on the drawing board made all the difference! 🏓 Ping pong tournament, breakfasts & a fancy dinner: A great way to break the ice and bond. 🗣 Diverse conversations: Lunches turned into discussions on everything from 3D printing & off-shore wind turbine maintenance to tracking healthy sleep cycles! So much to learn from such a diverse group. ⭐ Global representation: During a session, I looked around and felt proud—colleagues from Brazil, Hungary, Sweden, Lebanon, Ukraine, and beyond.   Being from Pakistan and working in Sweden, I love how the company truly embodies diversity. It was more than just work—it was also about connection, learning, and celebrating our unique Kognity culture. Here’s to more events like this! 🙌

It's been one year since the idea for BEAM was born. One whole year. As I type that, it feels surreal that 365 days have passed since that fateful day in a nursing mother's room that sparked a movement. It's easy to say that I've learned a lot, but I think that does the last year a disservice. It isn't easy to build businesses in today's climate, especially as a woman when we receive less funding with more obstacles. The bigger challenge: building a business that is scalable and intentional, from a position of inner strength that is counterculture to the hustle that gives way to "productivity" in a results-driven environment. My success: a year of listening to moms from all backgrounds share their experiences. Their truth: they feel unrepresented in the many ways they show up in media, they have a deep desire for connection, and they're ready to share their stories - they just need a megaphone. I edited this after posting it. After posting it, I wondered whether it sounded like boasting of my own strength. If so, it was not intended. For 4-6 years, we did a pretty good job of building a couple businesses, but then they stagnated and, frankly, I had created a JOB for myself. THEN, we followed EOS Worldwide, got rid of toxic staff, fine-tuned processes, refined our KPIs, and worked on our short- and long-term goals.
