I've been having some wonderful conversations with my client's clients over the past couple of weeks. This is what I call 'voice of the customer' research... and it's invaluable for gaining insights into the way a service user describes: 🔶 their problems 🔶 the behaviours and feelings those problems cause 🔶 their desires 🔶 the things they tried that didn't work 🔶 the objections/hesitations they had to using my client's service 🔶 how those objections were alleviated 🔶 what they liked about the service 🔶 what they liked about my client 🔶 their transformations After the chat, I get the recording transcribed, then go through it and pick out key words and phrases. I then use those words in my client's copy. Why? Because, when you write copy that mirrors back exactly what your ideal clients are saying, thinking and feeling, you join in with a conversation going on inside their heads. And guess what? The words resonate and the reader is moved towards a 'yes'. 😁 Interviews aren't the only way to do voice of the customer research... but I think they're the best. Do you do voice of the customer research for your business?
