Confession: I really hate packing. (And you’d think I’d have it figured out by now—I’ve lived in over 8 cities, across 6 countries, on 3 continents… even traveled with just a backpack. But nope, still not a fan.) If you have any tips to make packing easier, please share them—I need all the help I can get! Before I head off for a well-deserved vacation, I wanted to share a few updates on Vitae Professionals projects: 🗓️ January 9 – Face-to-face interviews in Lisbon for staff nursing roles at a central hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. 🇸🇦 🗓️ January 10 – Interviews in Oporto. 🗓️ January 16-17 – Interviews in London. ✨ In January, we’re also wrapping up enrollment for our first Dutch class of the year—just one slot left! 🇳🇱 … last 2 slots for medical surgical nursing positions in Malta too 🇲🇹 Interested in exploring these opportunities? Contact us by 📧 info@vitaeprofessionals.com or DM 👉Looking ahead: In February, we’ll host new interviews for cardiology and paediatric nurses, as well as Specislist Nursing positions at a leading Cardiac Center in Saudi Arabia. (Family contracts are available!) 🇸🇦 Still around February: we’re also thrilled to launch a new website and roll out a more automated CRM to streamline our recruitment process. This will help us focus more on creating real connections with candidates. As we step into 2024, I’m aiming for a year with more purpose and growth. What’s one way you’re planning to evolve this year? #InternationalRecruitment #NursingRecruitment #Nurses #internationalcareer

The Nursing Workforce in Saudi Arabia: Challenges and Opportunities As Saudi Arabia undergoes a significant healthcare transformation, the nursing workforce faces both challenges and exciting opportunities. Nurses represent the largest group of health professionals and are crucial to the success of the healthcare system. 🔹 Key Challenges: - The proportion of Saudi nurses remains low—only 10% of the total workforce is Saudi, with a significant dependence on foreign nurses. - High turnover rates, especially among Saudi nurses, driven by non-family-friendly working environments and occupational hazards. - Shortages in rural areas, with most Saudi nurses clustered in urban settings. 🔹 Opportunities for Growth: - Expanding public and private nursing education programs to increase the number of Saudi nurses. - Investing in skill mix optimization by developing bridging programs for diploma nurses and advanced training for specialized roles. - Encouraging rural placements through better incentives like salary bonuses, housing, and professional development opportunities. Saudi Arabia's healthcare reform presents a unique opportunity to reshape nursing into a globally recognized model. By investing in education, improving working conditions, and decentralizing hiring processes, the Kingdom can build a sustainable, highly-skilled nursing workforce that meets the demands of its growing healthcare system. #HealthcareReform #Nursing #WorkforceStrategies #SaudiArabia #HealthTransformation #FutureOfHealthcare #HealthcareLeadership #NursingOpportunities

Hospital commissioning refers to the process of ensuring that a newly constructed or renovated hospital facility meets all necessary standards, regulations, and requirements before it becomes operational. This process involves a series of steps to verify that the facility is safe, functional, and equipped to provide high-quality care to patients. Here is an overview of the hospital commissioning process: 1. Planning and Design Phase: - During the planning and design phase, hospital administrators work with architects, engineers, and construction teams to develop plans for the new hospital facility. This includes determining the size and layout of the building, selecting equipment and technology, and ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations. 2. Construction Phase: - Once the plans are finalized, the construction phase begins. Contractors and construction teams work to build the hospital according to the specifications outlined in the design plans. Throughout this phase, project managers oversee the construction process to ensure that it stays on schedule and within budget. 3. Pre-Commissioning Phase: - Before the hospital can become operational, a pre-commissioning phase takes place. This involves conducting inspections and tests to verify that all systems and components of the hospital are installed correctly and functioning properly. This includes testing electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC systems, and medical equipment. 4. Commissioning Phase: - The commissioning phase is the final step before the hospital opens its doors to patients. During this phase, a comprehensive review of all hospital systems and processes is conducted to ensure that they meet regulatory requirements and industry standards. This includes testing emergency response procedures, conducting staff training, and reviewing documentation. 5. Occupancy and Operation: - Once the commissioning process is complete and any issues identified during testing have been addressed, the hospital can be occupied and operational. Patients can be admitted, and healthcare services can be provided. 6. Post-Occupancy Evaluation: - After the hospital has been operational for a period of time, a post-occupancy evaluation may be conducted to assess its performance and identify any areas for improvement. This evaluation may include feedback from patients, staff, and other stakeholders, as well as an analysis of key performance indicators. RNs, with based knowledge and license alone, may lack skills for literature reviews, complex ethical dilemmas, and working with higher-level leadership. Hiring BSNs for RN roles might raise questions about pay/ resources spending, while using RNs for BSN positions could lead to competency issues. Some RNs pass license & land jobs quickly at big hospitals right after school, while some BSNs face challenges despite the demand for qualified nurses. Hired candidate should encompass KSA criterias as much as possible: knowledge, education, skills, national certification, relevant experience, and the ability to perform required tasks for a job. They may need to fit well in the team - teamwork 🤔 (When too many people apply for only 1 position)
