Its widely suggested that Systems Thinking developed out of something like machine > biology > ecology > flat 2D landscape > 3D netscape metaphors. But I havent seen much stuff bringing together - ecology and network metaphors - into - what shall I call it? - netscape ecologies. ‘A Vertical Gap’ is the title of my dissertation for which I achieved one of the highest grades in my cohort. Research Question: How the redesign of urban greening strategies in british urban environments may enable a building to enhance its local ecology. This dissertation allowed me to understand and expand my passion for the inclusion of ecology into design processes within the built environment and aims to aid the reframing of a readers attitudes towards such topics.

Industrial ecology offers a powerful approach to tackling climate change by reimagining how we design, use, and recycle resources. This approach goes beyond the reduction of emissions- it drives systemic change, creating resilient and sustainable networks that align economic activity with ecological health. How can industrial ecology principles be integrated into your sector to support climate goals? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
Have you heard of "Industrial Ecology"? It is a holistic approach to understanding and developing coupled industrial-ecological systems in studying their macro and micro material and energy flows. This slide explains more. Industrial Ecology is one of the topics were are exploring in our hub, you are welcome to join: https://lnkd.in/exuhHqCt
