Are you a servant leader? The servant leader is someone who prioritizes the needs of others before their own and focuses on the growth and well-being of their team and their community. The concept of servant leadership turns the traditional leadership model upside down; instead of the people working to serve the leader, the leader exist to serve the people on their team, in their organization or in their community. #NonprofitLeadership #CommunityService #ServantLeadership
Board-Certified Pediatrician | Healthcare Executive | Visionary Leader | Healthcare and NonProfit Transformation | Community Champion
Last week, Elona Deprez and I had the distinct pleasure of lunching with the remarkable Marygrace Billek, the recently retired Director of Human Services for Mercer County Administration. MaryGrace continues her journey of service as a board member of the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen and the Princeton Area Community Foundation. As we shared stories over lunch, I was reminded of the power of “servant leadership,” a philosophy that MaryGrace embodies so fully. It’s about leading with heart, focusing first on the well-being of the community and the people within it. Her dedication inspires those around her, including myself, to lead in a manner that prioritizes the greater good. Thank you, MaryGrace, for showing us that true leadership is about service and making a difference in the lives of others. Your legacy inspires us all to contribute more passionately to our communities! #Leadership #CommunityService #ServantLeadership #Inspiration #HumanServices #SocialImpact

Micah Beckwith and Mike Braun are shaking things up in Indiana’s leadership! With Beckwith determined to make the Lieutenant Governor’s office a true powerhouse and Braun laser-focused on delivering real results for Hoosiers, this team is set to redefine what it means to serve Indiana. Beckwith’s bold approach champions the people’s voice, bringing energy from the grassroots, while Braun’s no-nonsense focus on “kitchen-table issues” means he’s ready to cut through the noise and get things done. The conventional playbook? Tossed out. This isn’t your typical duo. They’re tackling Indiana’s challenges head-on, blending passion with practicality, and setting a new standard for leadership. Beckwith’s fearless commitment and Braun’s steady hand promise a dynamic partnership that’s unafraid to push boundaries, disrupt the status quo, and deliver for every Hoosier family. Indiana, get ready for a government that’s anything but business as usual! Read more here: https://lnkd.in/g--4UYg3 OR here: https://archive.vn/R51OD

As National Co-op Month kicks off, it’s crucial to emphasize the importance and strength of the locally owned and operated ag retail network. Many of agriculture’s biggest challenges can be tackled through collaboration that capitalizes on our system’s collective strength and our owners’ local leadership. That’s at the heart of what #cooperatives are all about.

The end of my talk yesterday in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It was an honor and a privilege to connect with so many wonderful people over the last few days. So true. You start with what you have and build from there!
CEO of The Networking Institute - we have developed a methodology that shows professional business people how to survive and thrive by building strong and diverse networks.
An early lesson I learnt in my career is that nobody starts a large organisation. Everything starts at zero. To grow and be successful organisations need three things – a great case powerfully articulated, a constituency of interested people and, most importantly, leadership. I saw this encouraging growth at organisations like The Ireland Funds in the US and the The Lansdowne Club (Australia) in Sydney, and witnessed amazing leadership working first hand with Tony O’Reilly and Dan Rooney. Thanks again to Matthew Thompson and the Best of Belfast team for having me. Watch the full episode here: https://lnkd.in/gz2SHYBG
