💼 Working on your business v.s. working in your business. I had the pleasure of gracing the stage twice at the CAPIC-ACCPI National Citizenship and Immigration Conference #NCIC in Halifax last week! In our #tedtalk inspired panel, I shared my top three lessons learned so far on my journey from #rcic and domain expert to tech entrepreneur! ❤️ Self compassion: assume that everyone is doing their best, including yourself! Cultivate a growth mindset and focus on progress over perfection. 🤔 Curiosity: elicit feedback and genuinely listen. Get your ego out of the way and commit to continuous improvement. 🔒 Resilience: resilience allows us to tackle challenging and difficult situations. It's a muscle that needs regular exercise These lessons have allowed me to have more fun in my business, enabling me to be more creative and innovative, ultimately translating to happier clients and staff. What does that look like, exactly? At Navio Immigration Inc., we've developed a new service model to fill the gap between DIY and traditional legal services, creating more affordable immigration legal services that's responsive to consumer behaviour and preferences. The model is powered by a proprietary digital platform that we developed to manage process and workflow more productively It allows legal representatives to spend more time on added value activities (i.e. tasks clients are willing to pay for, like strategic guidance and document review) and less time on waste (i.e. the things clients aren't willing to pay for, like form filling).
