I’ve been on LinkedIn for 6... almost 7 years now. And let me tell you—it’s been a journey. When I first started, I had no idea what I was doing. I thought having a profile and posting occasionally would be enough. I thought connections would just magically turn into engagement, and engagement into results. Spoiler: It didn’t work that way. It took me YEARS of trial and error to figure out what actually works on this platform. And even now, after almost 7 years, I’m still learning. I posted on LinkedIn for 30 days straight, here’s what happened: . . A LOT… but also very little. You might have noticed I’ve been pretty active on here lately. 30 days ago, I made a commitment: "Post every single day" Embrace the cringe. Build a habit. And just do the thing. And you know what? It worked! The goal wasn’t to go viral or land a big client—it was to show up and create. Every. Single. Day. And that worked! Here’s what I learned: - At first, it’s hard. Then it becomes fun. - The 100 pots vs. 1 perfect pot metaphor is real. (Quantity builds quality!) - coming up with something every day, brought wayyy more learning than batching content No, I didn’t get millions of impressions or some life-changing breakthrough. But that wasn’t the point. It was to improve 1% every day. To create the 100 pots instead of the one. Everyone celebrates milestones differently, and for this one, I decided to do something a little unique: 𝒎𝒚 𝒔𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒅 𝒗𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒐! 🙈💃🏽 On Thursday, I reached exactly 2,000 followers on LinkedIn. Shortly after sharing my first video, I gained over 50 new followers. 𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝒅𝒊𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒆𝒏? Honestly, I don’t have the perfect answer. But one thing I do know is I’m incredibly grateful for the journey so far. Now, I’m ending 2024 with a bang by starting a 7-day content challenge in collaboration with Horsfall Fortuna. This challenge is about consistency, growth, and creating meaningful connections.
