Did you know that some historical property records have language that include "Racial Covenants," preventing people who are not white from purchasing property in a given area? I'm excited to begin my volunteer work with Justice InDeed's project "Mapping Prejudice," where we review and transcribe information in various property records identifying these racial covenants so they can map out where these barriers exist.
