Every three seconds, someone somewhere in the world is affected by a stroke, and according to the World Stroke Organization, 101 million people are living with the aftermath of a stroke. For an optimized stroke treatment and a good patient outcome, time is of the essence. Healthcare practitioners aim to set up the ideal pathway for fast diagnosis and treatment of their patients. A well-coordinated treatment pathway is essential for optimal care and prevention to reduce the recurrence rate. Imaging technologies assist in a wide range of stroke scenarios identifying conditions such as blood clots, carotid plaques or a vessel ruptures, while our ARTIS icono therapy device plays a key role in supporting the continuum of care through endovascular treatment. Explore our integrated stroke solutions to see how to streamline a stroke workflow to overcome possible constraints. 🎥 Watch our informative video now! https://lnkd.in/e_-JVmf4 #StrokeCare #HealthcareInnovation #SiemensHealthineers

more evidence for the use of POCUS in the prehospital setting:
Using Butterfly's lung application, heart failure patients can be diagnosed on the way to the hospital, so they can get immediate life saving care when they arrive. No need to wait hours for institutional ultrasound. 94 patients studied; they received care 148 minutes earlier. I've been there. It matters. "In the 94 patients with AHF, 14% (11/77) received HF therapy prehospital without the use of LUS and 53% (9/17) with the use of LUS. LUS improved frequency of treatment by 39%. Median time to treatment was 21 min with LUS and 169 min without.” #butterflynetwork
