Does this Vince Lombardi quote make sense? “We didn’t lose the game; we just ran out of time.” -Vince Lombardi And if so, what, if anything, does it mean to you? Optimal personal success/reward/achievement/contentment (“Finishing First”) comes from one thing, and one thing only; Simply making it to the end of your leg of the race and passing the baton to the next runner. The power of celebrating small wins! A few years ago, I worked with a client who felt stuck. Revenue wasn’t growing fast enough, and every goal seemed too far out of reach. Frustrated, they asked, “Why even bother?” Here’s what we did: We shifted focus. Instead of chasing the big win, we started celebrating the small steps. The first new lead from a revamped pitch. Positive feedback on a new product idea. Each time, we stopped to acknowledge the progress. The result? Their confidence soared. Each small win built momentum, and soon, those little victories snowballed into big results. Here’s the truth: Celebrating small wins isn’t about lowering the bar, It’s about recognizing the effort it takes to move forward. Success is built one step at a time. 👉 Take a moment today to celebrate your progress. PS. What’s a recent small win you’re proud of? Let’s cheer each other on in the comments! #Smallwins #coach

"I'll take your compliment, but with caution—I don’t want to become overconfident. That’s the danger zone." These were my client’s words when I encouraged her to celebrate a small win. In addition to tracking lessons, I keep a special file to record progress, milestones, and all the wins for each of my clients, big and small. Some examples include: going to the doctor and speaking in German, confidently participating in a meeting, writing a postcard in German, applying for a job in German, and even landing that job. See how it includes everything - big and small wins? This is no coincidence. Each of them is worth celebrating if it's a result of you leaving your comfort zone. The smaller ones especially need my support, as they often go unrecognized by the learner themselves. They "need my eyes" to see their own progress. And I agree with my client, overconfidence is not the aim—because that’s not real confidence; it’s just the other side of the "insecurity coin". But recognizing what you know, being aware of it, and owning it? Now, that’s confidence! And recognizing what you don’t know yet and embracing that gracefully? That’s confidence, too! What do you think? What was the last big or small win you celebrated? 😊

When was the last time you celebrated a small win?🏆 In our pursuit of big goals, it’s so easy to overlook the little victories along the way. We get so focused on the destination that we forget to: • Embrace the progress • Acknowledge the challenges we’ve overcome • And thank the people who made the journey worthwhile Reaching your goal is important, yes—but embracing the journey is where the magic happens. Here’s why celebrating small wins is crucial: 🎯They remind you that progress is happening, even when it feels slow. 🎯They make the process enjoyable, even when the challenges are tough. 🎯They build a bank of memories that make your journey unforgettable. 🎯They validate your consistency and hard work. If you’re on a journey—any journey—don’t let the destination overshadow the beauty of the process. • Meet people with an open heart. • Enjoy the moments that matter. • Stay consistent. • Celebrate every win, no matter how small. Your small wins aren’t just small—they’re proof of your progress. It’s been almost a year since I began prioritizing my health—both physically and mentally. Every achievement along the way has been a reminder of the importance of persistence, gratitude, and celebrating the journey. What’s one small win you’ve celebrated recently? 3wJohn Stadtmueller It feels like the constraint of a year shifts focuses to specific points in time ...365 days, 52 weeks...12 months...and many business measurements tied to the calendar year...Annual salary, annual bonus, filing tax returns based on annual income etc... 🤷♂️
