As we celebrate Thanksgiving, we reflect with gratitude on how privileged we are to do work we love and to have the opportunity to make a positive impact—whether by empowering individuals and teams, fostering healthy organizational cultures, or supporting leadership that touches countless people. We learn from our clients and partners, share what we find meaningful, and form deep connections. The word “gratitude” comes from the Latin gratus, meaning “thankful” or “pleasing.” On this special day, we encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect: What brings you joy and fulfillment? Who are the people you are most grateful for? What blessings in your life deserve recognition, even those we may take for granted? Martin Seligman, a pioneer of positive psychology, often highlights the profound impact gratitude can have on our lives. When we focus on what we’re thankful for, it not only boosts our happiness but also strengthens our relationships and spreads positivity to those around us. Gratitude isn’t just a momentary feeling—it’s a practice that helps us appreciate life’s blessings, connect with others, and become more resilient. Today, let gratitude guide us. It’s not just about saying “thank you”; it’s about living with appreciation for the people, experiences, and opportunities that make life meaningful. Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving! Happy Thanksgiving From Jayadeva,to you I hope you're having a wonderful, relaxing day together with family, friends and loved ones. This Thanksgiving I would like to share with you something I often come back to during the holidays... Practice An Attitude of Gratitude. "An attitude of gratitude causes you to be more sensitive and aware of people around you. The more gratitude you have, the more gratitude you express, the better and more positive your personality is, the higher your self-esteem becomes, the more popular and liked you are by all the people around you, and the better you feel." You should always be looking for ways to make people (especially your loved ones) feel important, valuable and loved. How can you do this? Practice the 4 A`s... Appreciation - Say thank you, tell them you appreciate them Approval - Give praise on their accomplishments Admiration - Tell them somthing you like about them - their traits, their outfit, etc. Attention - Listen patiently, thoughtfully and without interrupting So on this Thanksgiving, practice an attitude of gratitude. As we gather to celebrate Thanksgiving, let us reflect on the true meaning of gratitude. Gratitude is a powerful reminder that what we have is already enough. It shifts our focus from what’s missing to what’s present—love, friendships, health, and countless blessings we often take for granted. Being thankful doesn’t mean everything in life is perfect; it means choosing to see the good, even in the imperfect. It’s a decision to value the moments, people, and gifts that make life meaningful. Today, let’s pause to reflect on what we’ve been given and carry a spirit of gratitude into every season. Thankfulness turns even the smallest things into treasures, and with a grateful heart, we see just how rich we truly are. Wishing you and your family a Thanksgiving filled with peace, love, and a deep sense of gratitude. “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good and His mercy endures forever.” - Psalm 107:1

Thanksgiving reminds me of my grandmother’s kitchen. The crisp November wind always reminds me of my grandmother's kitchen. I can still smell the warm pumpkin pie and hear the gentle laughter of family gathered around her old wooden table. Thanksgiving was never just a meal for us - it was a sacred moment of connection. This Thanksgiving, I'm reflecting on the profound power of gratitude. In a world that often feels divided, this day reminds us of what truly matters: connection, compassion, and the simple joy of being together. Gratitude isn't just a feeling - it's a practice. A deliberate choice to recognize the light, even when shadows seem long. This year, I'm grateful for: • The resilience of the human spirit • People who show up for each other • Moments of unexpected kindness • The ability to love and be loved Thanksgiving teaches us that richness isn't measured by what we own, but by the connections we nurture and the hearts we touch. Take a moment today to: • Call a loved one • Share a meal • Express appreciation • Listen deeply • Forgive freely Whether you're surrounded by family or spending the day quietly, know that you are seen. You are valued. You matter. Happy Thanksgiving. May your day be filled with warmth, understanding, and genuine connection. #Thanksgiving #Gratitude #Connection #Love #JCJFunerals
