What a full week compliments of Underscore VC . They are what all VC should be - smart, innovative, fun, and community oriented. The best ideas come from collaboration. They get that. On Monday, I felt fortunate to attend their Pre-Summit Dinner and learned a ton about spelunking (i.e. cave exploring ?!) and made some new tech buds at my table - Ari Fine Glantz , Henry Cipolla and Mia Nguyen . I especially loved meeting Joe Sawyer (we realized we live down the road from each other) and Kim Gallagher Johnson (we hit it off immediately), too! Then Charlotte Bingaman MArch EdM and I were so honored to be invited to lead a Groop for Product Leaders interested in founding a company at The Summit the next day. The focus of the Groop was to paint a vision of the future as they see it (based on Mike Maples, Jr book, Pattern Breakers - who I was lucky enough to meet a couple weeks ago?!). I wrote about the themes in our Psychology of Teams and People newsletter this week (see below). The was event SO good and connecting, Daniel Acheampong , Leroy Sibanda , ❉Thomas Baker , Charlotte and I shut down the party and got the lights turned on on us after 2 hours of debating the future and how psychology and AI integrate (even though I had a 5am to train to #EdTech in NYC the next am?!). It was a connecting, full circle moment for sure as Daniel and I met over 1.5 years ago - he gave us at Groops a non-dilutive grant via Visible Hands at an important time. Such gratitude and love! Like attracts like, or light attracts light - no wonder Daniel was at The Summit. My brain hurt and my heart was full - a perfect combination. To be continued over dinner soon. And I always love hanging with the brilliant Ingrid Flores who we have somehow sucked into Groopsworld. All of that is to say, THANK YOU Underscore VC . Thank you Lily Lyman , Jenni Goodman , Claire Crowther , Kate DeVlieger , James Orsillo, CFA , Gabrielle McCarthy , Chris Gardner, Richard Dulude and the rest of the amazing team. Hosting the Summit, and all your events, requires a high level of commitment to our community and your dedication to doing the work does not go unnoticed. You are so foundational in the Boston ecosystem and have found the right balance of brains, heart, spirit and community which leads to building an innovative, connected future. I feel lucky to be a part of your core. Thank you.
