I can finally announce that I was awarded an SSHRC Insight Grant for the project, "Russia’s Media at War: Domestic Content, International Transfer, and Perceived Credibility", together with Lika Tsuladze & Nino Abzianidze, Fabian Burkhardt, Julie George, and Andrey Semenov. The project builds upon my previous work on RuMOR. Over the next 3 years, we'll be looking at the ways Russia's war narratives work their way into other countries' media with a focus on Georgia, Kazakhstan, Germany, and Canada. We'll also be examining in depth how people in each country perceive the credibility of Russia's war narratives. And of course I'll be continuing with RuMOR to monitor how war narratives rise, fall, emerge, or fade in Russia's domestic media. Watch this space for more info as we get the project up & running.
