Thoughts from the Job Trail for today addresses a topic I have heard a few others discuss here on LinkedIn - #Halloween. Where I grew up, Trick or Treaters went out on Halloween (October 31) Afternoon/Night unless there was something major that postponed it like Superstorm Sandy. Some started right after school when it was light. Others came by after dark. Where I am now, it's always the Friday Night before Halloween (which is tomorrow!), something I never heard of before. Many like to spend some extra time making sure they/their kids are ready for the event. Even if one does not have kids, there is still the need to get home before the festivities commence to hand out goodies. Around here, Trick or Treat begins promptly at 6:00 PM, so there will be many kids on the streets since there are no sidewalks where I live. (On that note, if you are going out close to and/or after dark when your area celebrates Halloween, promise me you will have a flashlight/use your phone's flashlight. Even better wear a light color. Optimally, a Class 1 or 2 Safety Vest for everyone. I think we all will know what you are supposed to be even if you wear the vest. I was coming home at 7:00 PM last night from an event and I was too close for comfort to a family who were wearing black/dark clothing. Scary in the bad way!) I am not going out Friday Night, I know that for sure! So for #employers, especially for those who lead #remote teams and have different Halloween celebrations, be understanding if someone says they need some extra time to prepare for Halloween on a day not October 31. #ThoughtsFromtheJobTrail #TrickorTreat

In the ever-evolving landscape of events management, crafting an unforgettable 13th birthday party is no longer just about balloons, cake, and handheld party favors. Today, it’s about creating innovative experiences that celebrate a teenager's transition from tween to teen. Such events not only entertain but also reflect their growing maturity and personal interests. One of the most innovative theme ideas that's currently making waves is the "Tween to Teen" concept. This theme cleverly bridges the gap between childhood and adolescence and lyrically signals the beginning of a new stage in life. Likewise, the "Teenage Dream" theme celebrates young aspirations, providing an environment that encapsulates the dreams, constructs, and flair of the teenage world. For young girls entering their teenage years, the industry is witnessing unique trends. Sleepover hotel parties and fashion shows have become increasingly popular. Also, "Girl Power" celebrations are now in vogue, reinforcing positive body image, strength, and confidence, aligning perfectly with contemporary societal trends of feminism and empowerment. For those seeking gender-neutral themes, camping, movie nights, and game nights are timeless classics that appeal to all. Activities like dance parties, karaoke, and outdoor adventures serve dual purposes: they provide entertainment and also foster team building and camaraderie, essential skills for holistic development in adolescents. In an industry that's becoming more personalized, themed birthday parties enveloping the characteristics of the celebrant have become a dynamic trend. As event professionals, it leaves us with the exciting challenge of creating events meaningful to the birthday boy or girl, striking a balance between fun, educational and value-laden experiences. Let's open a discussion on this. How are you incorporating these trends into your events? Do you have any innovative birthday themes or activities that were a hit? Please share your insights and experiences! Remember, we're not just planning parties; we're creating memories that will last a lifetime. #EventPlanning #BirthdayThemes #TeenageParties #EventTrends Check out the full post on AngelinaAllsop.com.

OKAY. I have a new idea that I'm really excited about! And I want to talk with you about it. 😁 This year, holiday gifting is going to be BIGGER AND BETTER than ever! We’re working on a brand-new product that hasn’t even hit our website yet, and I want *you* to be a part of this launch. I know it might seem early to talk holiday gifts 🎁, but this year is all about creating IMPACT, and we want to get the ball rolling now. Every year, our people love creating mission-driven gift boxes for your people. Last year, I had the opportunity to train my best friend Grace, who also works at 321 Coffee (I know, so cool!), on how to pack holiday boxes. We set up an assembly line, cranked up some festive music, and Grace was an absolute pro. It was SO much fun. Every 100 boxes creates a full day of work for our team. So with each order of a 321 holiday gift box, you're not just sending a great gift, you're spreading joy while supporting meaningful jobs for people with disabilities. And because of the impact this has made, we want to go even bigger this year! So, stay tuned! We're going to be looking for companies soon to launch this awesome new idea with. 👀 Want to be a part of this? Send me a message! #HolidayGifting #CorporateGifts MeaningfulWork #InclusiveJobs
