Ever feel like the year flies by, and you’re already playing catch-up on next year’s plans❓ With CES 2025 just around the corner, I’m gearing up—and thinking ahead CES has always been a benchmark event for innovation, showcasing trends and technology that shape the future. This year, I’m thrilled to be attending CES 2025 with WITI, an amazing opportunity to connect with inspiring leaders and drive meaningful conversations about innovation. This past year, I had the chance to attend Ai4 - Artificial Intelligence Conferences and Money20/20 Las Vegas 2024 , both of which exceeded my expectations. From cutting-edge insights in AI to transformative ideas in fintech, these events delivered invaluable learning and connections. When attending industry events like these, I’ve learned to: 🗓️ Prioritize sessions that align with my goals. 📃 Research exhibitors and schedule meetings in advance. ⌚ Build in time for unexpected discoveries—it’s often where the magic happens. Three things I’ve learned about industry events: ✔️ Quality over quantity: Attending a few key events with clear objectives often trumps trying to hit everything. ✔️ Prep is everything: The more aligned you are with your goals before you show up, the better the outcomes. This also includes having your tech and digital cards ready to go. ✔️ Follow-through matters: Networking is only as good as the action you take afterward. As CES 2025 approaches, here’s my checklist for success: ✅Research speakers, topics, and exhibitors in advance. ✅Set up meetings with key contacts now (calendars fill fast). ✅Have a clear objective—what do you want to learn, achieve, or discover? ✅Schedule follow-ups with connections immediately after the event. For 2025, in addition to CES, AI4 and Money 20/20 are on my must-attend list. They’ve proven invaluable for staying ahead in tech and fintech innovation. CNCF Announces Exciting Event Lineup for 2025 As 2025 approaches, CNCF has unveiled its global event schedule, expanding its reach with its inaugural KubeCon + CloudNativeCon in Japan. This signals a significant development for cloud-native enthusiasts, emphasizing the increasing influence and adoption of such technologies. Slated for April 2025, the Europe event in London kicks off a packed year, followed by meetings in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Hyderabad, and Atlanta. This reflects not just the geographical expansion but also the growing community and emphasis on Kubernetes Community Days, promoting grassroots involvement. Key dates include November 2024 for the Call for Proposals submission—an opportunity for developers and industry leaders to propose sessions. It’s official, Leeds Digital Festival is back! The atmosphere of anticipation at the official launch party tonight was palpable, and I can’t wait to be inspired by this year’s incredible programme of events. If you haven’t already planned your calendar, don’t worry, I’ve done it for you. Here’s a rundown of my top 5 unmissable events at this year’s festival. There’s something for everyone. 1. DWP Digital: AI and Innovation – 16th September Learn all about ethical best practices in AI concept development through a series of proof-of-concept projects and case studies from Accenture’s Amar Narayan, and DWP’s Simon King. This stereotype-busting careers event is the ideal opportunity to discover the diversity of opportunities the technology sector offers.
