When Should I Hire an Employment Lawyer? If you’ve lost your job, you may want to hire an employment lawyer should you believe your termination was unlawful or if you have legal claims against your employer. However, losing your job isn’t the only time you should consider hiring an employment lawyer. There are many workplace situations an employment lawyer can help you sort out. An employment lawyer assists in navigating complex employment laws and provides representation in negotiations or court proceedings and can also provide guidance that you may need when you begin to experience discrimination or harassment at work. Call as Soon You Start Having Problems with Your Employer: If you are experiencing issues with your employer, such as discrimination, harassment, or retaliation, an employment lawyer will advise you on how to address the situation. if You’ve Lost Your Job: If you’re fired from your job for an illegal reason, such as discrimination, retaliation, or whistleblowing, an employment lawyer can help you determine if you have a case. Help with Discrimination: It’s important to take action if you believe you are experiencing discrimination in the workplace. Discrimination is illegal and should not be tolerated. By taking steps to address the situation, you can protect yourself and others from discrimination in the future. If You Have A Severance Offer: Working with a severance agreement attorney is the best way to ensure that you receive the benefits and compensation you deserve after contributing positively to your workplace. No matter what type of conflict you’re facing at work, speaking to an employment lawyer as soon as conflict begins is always a good idea. Our dedicated attorneys at MSB will walk with you each step of the way to let you know what legal grounds you have for any conflict. If you’ve decided it’s time to hire an employment lawyer, contact our team today! www.msbjustice.com #EmploymentLawyer #SeveranceAgreement #DiscriminationHelp #LegalRepresentation #MSBEmploymentJustice

Employment Advocates v Lawyers Lawyers are not all the same and neither are employment advocates. Recently, an employment advocate's conduct was rightly criticised by the Employment Court. This led to a number of people calling out employment advocates and demanding they be regulated, like lawyers. But 'one swallow does not a summer make'. Lawyers are regulated, but this doesn't stop some from crossing a line they shouldn't. Regularly, lawyers are disciplined for this. I am an employment advocate. To me, my reputation is paramount. It is imperative my clients, opposing counsel, and parties know I can be trusted, not just to be honest, but to behave professionally and appropriately. Not to be trusted doesn't just hurt me, it also hurts my clients. A person should be judged, not by their job title, but by who they are.
