Coolshop has entered a new European market. Coolshop has just started delivering online to customers in Poland, read more about this below and in Forbes which has written about Coolshop. “It is increasingly difficult to make a name for yourself in the Polish e-commerce industry. However, this does not discourage more entrepreneurs who are counting on their piece of the pie. Another e-commerce player is entering Poland – Coolshop, belonging to Cool Group, well-known to Scandinavian Internet users. The marketplace, founded in Denmark in 2002 by brothers Mark and Mike Nielsen, has already reached many European countries. It currently serves approx. 2 million regular customers. The Danish platform, which will launch in full swing in our country in the coming weeks, offers, among others, electronics, furniture and home accessories, including household appliances, garden tools and decorations, cosmetics, toys and sports products – a total of approx. 45 thousand products, well-known, global brands, as well as unique Scandinavian brands. The Polish e-commerce market is one of the fastest growing in Europe. And this is a natural direction of expansion for a company like Coolshop – claims John Møller, COO of Coolshop. The Danes face a serious challenge, because according to experts, our market is already very saturated and competitive. A barrier to entry for new companies – as Karol Kozak from Grant Thornton points out – is the dominance of giants. – A new large player, in order to succeed, would have to have huge financial and technological resources to compete with existing giants. This is difficult, but not impossible – he admits. Because, as he claims, large marketplaces are not always able to build an advantage on the personalization or niche nature desired by customers. If I could partner with LATAM's largest E-commerce Platform... I would begin to integrate new technologies such as VR/AI into the supply chain to revolutionize the supply/demand efficiency. My father actually owns a shop in Cuenca, Ecuador and as a native Cuencano we came up with the idea of a virtual E-store that plays kinda like a video game but allows you to shop with you friends, using real-time CSV data for product inventory. This solves 3 main issues: 1) Commute/working hours: In some parts of South America, it can be dangerous after certain hours to remain outside for simple tasks like grocery shopping. 2) Fun immersion with friends: It wouldn't be any different from shopping online without a complete overhaul of 3D virtual experience that you can use socially as you shop. 3) Costly overhead: If a store decides to completely move virtually 3D; this removes a lot more of initial costs to start a business...Allowing more entrepreneurs to make moves Currently these are just ideas but as a Ecuadoran-Citizen myself, I can't but be passionate to bring these ideas back home....

Big news for the Japanese e-commerce world: LINE Yahoo is set to acquire BEENOS Inc. (formerly netprice.com, Ltd.) for ¥54 billion (345M USD), making it a wholly-owned subsidiary by February 2025. BEENOS is known in Japan for its cross-border e-commerce services like Buyee (proxy shopping service to buy on JP marketplaces like Yahoo Auction or Mercari) and tenso (forwarding service like MyUS.com). Japanese enterprises are showing a growing interest in cross-border e-commerce, while foreign brands are entering the market. Plenty of opportunities lie ahead for Ship&co in 2025.

The cross-border e-commerce market is experiencing exponential growth, expected to reach $114.6 billion in the region by 2026, doubling its current value of $52.5 billion. However, less than 5% of sellers on marketplaces in countries like Brazil are cross-border sellers.
