One of the biggest hacks when hosting a large event is to establish a planning committee for it. Give each committee member specific tasks and then come together on a weekly/bi-weekly basis for updates. Sourcing speakers, sponsor outreach, searching for a venue, sourcing day of volunteers, etc. can all be focuses of the committee members to help take some of the burden off of you. To take it one step further, you can sprinkle in some people from companies who may be potential sponsors. Doing this helps them stay involved and allows them to get more out of their sponsorship.

Now imagine what it is for a Meeting Planner, when they have to do all of this on their own. I know, when organize International events, I have to have at least 4-6 people actively involved in organizing the entire event to make sure things go flawlessly.
