As a Design Engineer, I face a unique set of challenges when designing pressure vessels using CAD software. 1.Complex Geometry : Modeling intricate shapes and features, such as heads and nozzles, can be time-consuming and requires precision. 2. Material Properties : Accurately simulating how various materials behave under pressure and temperature is essential but can be complicated. 3. Integration with Analysis Tools : Linking CAD models with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools for stress testing often presents compatibility challenges. 4. Compliance with Standards : Ensuring designs meet industry standards (e.g., ASME, EN) while maximizing efficiency can be a delicate balance. 5. Change Management : Modifying one part of the design can impact the entire assembly, necessitating efficient version control and documentation practices. 6. Collaboration : Working seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams requires robust data management to keep everyone on the same page. 7. Creating Detailed Drawings : Generating clear and compliant manufacturing drawings from CAD models demands attention to detail. Each challenge offers an opportunity for innovation and growth.
