The escalating risk of Shadow AI Employees across organizations are increasingly utilizing #GenAI tools for work-related tasks, sometimes without adequate training or guidelines, what has been named #ShadowAI and that mirrors the challenges associated with #ShadowIT: - Data exfiltration: There’s a risk of accidentally entering sensitive information into #AI tools, which could potentially be made public. - Regulatory: If the disclosed information includes personal data, it could lead to regulatory issues. How can we navigate these emerging challenges? - Clear Communication: Inform employees about the usage of GenAI tools, the associated risks, guidelines, and the appropriate channels for their use. - Training Programs: Develop comprehensive training programs to educate employees on how to safely use GenAI tools and adhere to regulations. - Robust Risk Management Practices: Implement strong enterprise risk management practices and monitor AI usage to identify potential risks and address them promptly.

What is risk-reassessment? A question that many are asking following Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 entering into force on 1 August 2024. In short, continuously assessing the risk level of an #AI system throughout its lifecycle - not just a one-off! Many factors can alter this, such as data flows, end-user utilisation, system modification, all of which need to be considered in determining the overall risk level - unacceptable, high, minimal or limited. If you're interested in finding out how to determine your #AI system's risk level, contact the team at AI & Partners. LinkedIn: https://lnkd.in/eaZGAjWQ Email: contact@ai-and-partners.com #AI

We spend a lot of time thinking about change and the future of #TPRM. For Whistic, #AI is a huge part of that future. So, this might seem contradictory. But the reason we believe #AI is such an important part of third-party #risk management moving forward is not because of what changes, but because of what stays the same. Businesses still: 💠 Need #security info from their vendors to understand and mitigate risk 💠 Have limited resources to do all the manual work of quality assessments 💠 Rely on third parties to drive outcomes—and so must tackle risk somehow Some things never change for vendors or third parties, either. They still: 💠 Must respond to huge volumes of questionnaire requests 💠 Have decentralized security documentation scattered across systems 💠 Ping InfoSec every time they need an answer 💠 Risk disrupting sales cycles if they can't move faster 💠 Compete on transparency and trust Whistic #AI is designed for both sides of the #TPRM equation, making it faster, easier, and more powerful to conduct and respond to #security assessments. It's only one change, but it's a big one. Learn all about our approach to AI in TPRM, and let us know when you're ready to take the next step forward. https://lnkd.in/eM8xq7v8
