👨🏻🚀 T-3 Days to Launch 🚀 The Importance of Participation and Sustaining Community 🌍 In my journey of community building, I’ve experienced firsthand how challenging it can be to keep a community engaged. You can have the best events and the most vibrant spaces, but without the right incentives, participation often fizzles out. 😓 That’s why we’ve introduced the CIVIT Status system within our universal shared living platform—the Shared Living Hub. Our ecosystem not only connects people but also rewards them for staying active and contributing to the community. 🎯 ✨ CIVIT Status offers a tiered reward system where members can earn 30% to 70% discounts on CIVIT events, courses, products, and services—simply by being engaged. And here’s the best part: as a community leader, you can personalize these rewards, tailoring them to fit your community’s unique needs and goals. Imagine your community thriving, with everyone motivated to participate—not just within your property, but across our global platform. CIVIT Status transforms community involvement into something valuable, sustainable, and rewarding. 🌟 Join us on September 4th at 11AM EDT to discover how our ecosystem is designed to keep communities not just alive but thriving—connecting people locally and globally in meaningful ways. 🎟 Special Offer: All attendees will receive a 3-month Enthusiast Membership for free! 📅 Request an Invite to the CIVIT Launchpad and Register for the Event: https://lnkd.in/eRu7ktWg Once you’ve joined the launchpad, you can register for the event. Let’s build communities that last, within a platform that supports them on every level! 💪 #CommunityEngagement #UniversalPlatform #SharedLivingHub #CIVIT #Incentives

As we continue to celebrate INCITE’s 25th Anniversary, we’re sharing major lessons learned along the way. And this one is especially important to us. It’s about the power of inside-out communications. What does communicating from the inside-out mean? It means the narrative being told ABOUT your organization is the same story being told from WITHIN. Take a moment to think of all the different people in your organization. This may start with the staff and then work outward to board members, volunteers, program recipients, donors and prospective donors. Add the community and the general public and you have probably built a large list of individuals – each creating a circle growing outward, like the rings on a tree. By communicating to the inner rings first you ensure consistency and coherence in how your company or message is perceived externally. Then if someone from the outer ring talks to someone from the inner, the message will be the same, no matter what group is reached. This approach isn't just a communication strategy; it's a philosophy that empowers our team members and clients. The spirit of this season mirrors the soul of the Summit: goodwill, good cheer, and great company. Join us for more than just a conference, more than just networking, more than just big plans and bigger ideas. Join us to dispel fear with knowledge, link leading minds with helping hands, and create magic beyond measure. Join us in making futures bright, for ALL people around the world. One of my favorite events of the year is Thinksgiving and 2024 Applications Are Open! Since Thinksgiving began in 2020, nearly 150 mission-driven nonprofits have worked with amazing teams from our region’s smartest companies to find creative solutions to their most pressing challenges. This year's event happens on November 7th from 8:30 - 4:30 and will be better than ever Why Apply? Build your network: Thinksgiving is a unique way to meet and develop relationships with creative and civic-focused professionals employed by many of our region's leading companies. Increase your visibility: You’ll educate others about your mission and while also engaging with other business and nonprofit peers who might become future collaborators and thought-partners. Engage and learn all year: You’ll get access to additional innovation-focused programming, training, and tools from Filament throughout the course of the year. In order to qualify* for selection, nonprofits must: Have 501(c)(3) status, a defined mission, and established leadership. Be headquartered in and/or serving the greater St. Louis area. This was one of the first events I attended as an EmployIndy team member and it's still one of my favorite events each year. So what? I'll tell you what: 1.) If you're doing great things at your organization around DEIB, NOMINATE yourself!! Tell people about why it's important to you and what it means to be a great organization. 2.) Attend! If you aren't fully confident in where you are at on the DEIB journey, that's ok! Attending this event is such a great way to network with others and learn how you can move the needle. (Pst, I know some people that can help you with those goals too). REGISTER &/OR NOMINATE YOURSELF TODAY!! https://lnkd.in/g3z4x8Ke

This thought hit me last night as I attended the CoSign Awards, where I had the privilege of celebrating my friends being recognized for their incredible contributions in areas like Health & Wellness, Community Service, and beyond. Sitting among movers and shakers who I proudly call friends—and even family—was a humbling reminder of the power of connection. Your network isn’t just a collection of people; it’s a source of inspiration, opportunity, and support. That’s why people join country clubs, pursue Ivy League educations, or prioritize building close-knit communities. It’s less about acquiring knowledge and more about fostering meaningful connections. So, here’s a reminder: nurture those relationships, celebrate the wins of others, and keep building that “relationship capital.” You never know how much it can enrich your life. #Networking #RelationshipCapital #Community

How do we make work cool? A question that myself and the crew at the #ludocollective have been discussing recently. I hear so many conversations about people working only for the money (obviously) and waiting for the weekend to enjoy themselves. I speak with teams who are so disengaged they spend their lives cameras off mic off on zoom. Thinking only about the mechanics of the work and not the holistic experience of their days. Personally, I want to find meaning in my work. Connection with those who I spend the majority on my life interacting with. The idea of spending my life disengaging from the vast majority of my time fills me with dread. This one beautiful existence that I want to savour. When I am away from my family or stressed with a heavy workload I want to feel like there is value in my effort and connection in my team. Yes, work can be problematic, bosses challenging and cultures toxic. Issues that should never be overlooked and leaders should learn to wield their power with thought, grace and compassion (we can discuss all that in another post). But within the messiness of business, the imperfectness and pressure of it all I desperately want to FEEL. Feel good, feel engaged and connected. I want to geek out as I know the value of my work to the end recipient, the knowledge that my existence helped others days be brighter - within my team or for my customers. Mission is so important. People are important. How do we make organisations that people want to run to on a Monday? Let me what business means to you, how do you find meaning in your work? Or better yet join us inside the Ludo Collective where we regularly explore topics such as this. Currently you can get 12months access to this groundbreaking leadership and DEI platform for FREE.
