How do you know when your systems and processes are out of alignment? In many automotive applications they mark bolts that have been torqued to a certain specification. They theory being that when these bolts loosen they can be easily realigned by matching the mark on the bolt to the corresponding mark on the surface. Case in point, we were getting some weird clunking in our suspension of our Sprinter van. I spent some time checking it out and couldn’t see anything. Didn’t know about the bolts being marked. Within 30 seconds of having the installers take a look at it they noticed the marks on the bolts were out of alignment. A few turns of the wrench, problem solved. We can often get out of alignment in our business and personal lives. The secret to realignment. 👉 Start by getting your actions aligned with your goals. 👉 Mark (make notes) of what proper alignment looks and feels like. 👉 Notice when things don’t feel right. 👉 With a few quick changes get back into alignment. By periodically checking to see things are aligned properly the ride will be smoother and you have less chance of something going drastically wrong.
